I've been thinking about it for the last few minutes. I made things totally awkward with Jairo at work tonight. Totally on accident, but I'm pretty sure I gave him the wrong idea.

I went outside and talked with Darren for a bit, and I saw Jairo standing in the parking lot. So I went out and started talking to him for a while. We joked around and it was all good. (For those of you that DON'T know, Jairo is the guy that asked me to go to a club with him. I declined.) Anyways, he was only on his break, so I asked him why he was standing out in the parking lot in the rain. He said "I was hoping you might still be out here."

My little red flags went up. - A- My coworker is trying to get in my pants. Not fun. Anyways, I played it off, and he asked me what I do for fun, like, hang out with friends or party, or what. He's trying to learn what kind of social activities I do like, since I told him I don't club. Great. Well anyway, he had to go clock back in, right? So he and I start walking in and I figure "Well, I missed my bus anyway, I'll walk with him to the break room." So he says "Alright, guess I'll see you later." I say "What're you talkin' about? I'ma follow you!" And he says "I'm going to the bathroom!" And I said "You need any help?" And he says "Well if you want to." And I laughed and said "Nah, you can probably hold it down yourself." ANd he says "Well yeah, but" And I was busy laughing and leaving, so I didn't hear the rest.

Sigh. I accidentally gave him the impression that I was interested. And now I don't know how to dissuade him. The only reason I offered 'help' was because I always say that when I'm following someone and they say they're going to the bathroom. Ask Nya-chan. And now I don't know what to do. I can't directly confront him about the situation because he hasn't given off a stronger impression that he's interested in me. And until he does, I socially can't tell him no without appearing full of myself AND jumpy AND assumptive. And I just can't until he decides he wants me to know I'm being pursued. Because if he doesn't, and he deems I'm not interested overall, then we can stay friends, no awkwardness. But he's testing the waters and I'm leadin' his little boat down the wrong offshoot. lol @ river analogy

Sigh again. Any advice?
