nurse & cosplay Cutie nurses! Right, so, my contribution to this store update, I'm pretty happy with it - the nurse set, feel better lollies, thermometers, and latex gloves (bonus pose, get it?!). (The red nurse set turned out a little less saturated than I intended - in the future, bolder reds, I promise.) I wanted to mention this so I could draw attention to my avatar cosplay... ... NURSE ANGEL RIRIKA!! So if you thought I was done inflicting upon you obscure 90s mahou shoujo, you thought wrong. I hear you can make Nurse Joy with the nurse stuff as well... Which provides me with a perfect segue into my other topic... I don't know if you live anywhere near Pittsburgh, but for 14-ish years, I did, and my family still does. I'll be visiting for Easter, and I'm also hoping to go to Tekkoshocon. I went once before, and (I'm ashamed to admit) it was kinda neat, so this year I'm gonna give it another go. I wish I could stop there, but I should also mention that I'm going to attempt something completely out of my comfort zone and/or skill set, and... (here we go)... go in costume. In real life. On my real life body. With real life people around to see it. I've never made or worn a cosplay before, so I'm equal parts excited and horrified. As you can see, I'm aiming to go as Lucca because a) I already wear glasses, b) I already have brown boots, and c) I LOVE KURONO TORIGAAAASIDFGHASDFIYGSDG. Again, in my mind, it is forever 1995. I don't know if any of you have cosplayed before, but if you have any tips, I'd love to hear them. I'm trying to spend as little of my money as possible, so naturally I will be haunting the Salvation Army store for belts and orange tunics. The helmet, well, I suppose I'll have to actually make that one. Good thing I have a good friend with access to a sweet 3D printer HAAAAAAAAAA~ Alright, that's all for now. BYEEEEEE

	I love the nurse items! I put all the red, white and black versions onto my wish list blaugh When I went to my first few conventions I really wanted to cosplay (in Asutralia) But I never ended up doing it and now these anime conventions are starting to bore me (there probably not as big as the ones in the US) tip: if your using paint, please no gloss... will make what ever you paint look cheap and tacky.

	I noticed that about the red nurse dress. It looks great in general but pale in comparison to other reds. Only issue with the fabulous nurse set is that the cross is covered by the accessories I usually have on my avatar. xd I'll prolly use the black dress at some point anyway, as the shape/shading is so nice.

	OH I can sorta see something out of this: Brown Turtleneck Tight Black shorts OR Spandex [if you like that sort of thing.] [You could also buy some used Stretchy Pants and cut em off at the knee, since most Anime Conventions don't allow too revealing cosplayers.] You could get a giant orange shirt, or maybe even an orange petticoat, and cut off the arms. And a Cricket Mallet or something of that kind would be perfect for the hammer thing your character has got goin on there lol. Thrift stores have EVERYTHING. So, do a Google search of all Thrift Stores nearby. Sometimes, colleges have big flea markets as well, so ask around and see what's going on in the coming weeks. 	I was the one who mentioned Nurse Joy. (big Pokemon fan here - blame my son) I just dont have appropriate hairstyle so have to make due. wink (any chance of getting that hairstyle?) I wanna see that cosplay costume you gonna wear, so take pics! Love your work! Keep it up! I havent ever seen that anime, but I am enjoying the things you come up with and look forward to seeing more. heart

	I love the nurse stuff; I'm a big fan of nurses, and not just evil possessed ones that want to slash you up with a scalpel. wink I'll have to buy all the stuff in all colours as soon as I get enough gold.

	My biggest cosplay tip: DON'T IGNORE THE HAIR. There are a lot of otherwise great cosplays ruined by the cosplayer's lack of hair styling/a wig. Lucca's hair is pretty simple, so you probably won't need a wig. An oversized orange t-shirt then cut to drape like her tunic would be the best solution for the top; you probably won't find a ready-made orange tunic like that. (And if you get an orange dress to make into a tunic, you could cut off the bottom and make your scarf.) For the bits and bobs on her helmet, go check out the toy section at the thrift store before you go.

	Do you have the huge glasses? Because that would make the outfit look even more authentic, rather than the smaller framed glasses we have today. I wear a pair of huge 80s frames I stole from my dad, and when I have to wear a regular pair every once in a while you really see the difference. It just changes the face entirely. Anyway big glasses would just make it so more geekface!Lucca and add to her vibe, you know? XD Man I want to play Chrono Trigger now. I don't cosplay, but my sister is always ALWAYS on the look out for potential ghetto cosplay items. She's always hitting up Good Will and the clearance racks in department stores lol. If you're lucky sometimes you can find something that you don't have to alter in the least. Rub someone's belly for good luck before you go hunting. &--- That's some darn good advice right thar. Works every time. Also a good excuse to rub someone's belly :] p.s. the nurse items are adorable. i <3 the thermometer p.s.s. hah xD i didn't even see the bonus latex gloves position until now. snaps! gloves = w=

	OMG Lucca! I love Chrono trigger. You should make some chrono trigger items. Like for real. It would be amazing.
