"It's been a while, TOM."
"That it has, Sara."
"I can only assume your return to The Absolution means that we are finished."
"Yep. Toonami's over."
Silence, save the hum of the machines in the background.
"So what does that mean for us?" TOM did not reply at first. Instead, he walked slowly to a large switch. If he had a mouth, he would have been wearing a frown. "TOM?"
"You already know," he said, clutching the switch.
"Yes," she said, a tinge of finality on her mechanical yet soothing voice, "I do."
"Stay gold, Sara."
"You too, TOM. I think... I will miss you," she said.
"No," said TOM, sighing sorrowfully, pulling the switch. "You won't."
Sara's hologram flickered for a few seconds before fading. The 'Clydes' around TOM died out as well. The Absolution had become absolutely silent. The only light left in the room emanated from a single red button across from the other switch.
Even slower this time, he somberly ambled to the switch. He scanned his memory banks for any file relating to Toonami, feeling one last rush of nostalgia. Finally, after what seemed like an all too short eternity, he arrived at the button and read the label above it.
Toonami Final Countdown.
TOM, hand shaking, rested a single finger on the button. With one more sigh, he whispered...
"Bang."
The color key is as following:
Cyan = Sara.
Black = Nobody's really speaking; it's everything else that goes on.
Gray = TOM.
