"Cerci, look who I found at the Marketplace!" Autumn exclaimed jubilently. "Your mother!"
"MAMA?" I said as I opened my eyes. Sunlight poured in. I squinted my eyes.
"Cerci, I want you to have these. Be a proud warrior of the wild. Fight those werewolves!" Mama gave me a black and pink warrior dress and a pet dragon. "The dragon's name is Xena."
Mama smiled, ever so proud that I was Princess of Nature. "I will." I promised as Mama left. Tears filled my eyes. "Mama, don't go!!" It was too late. Mama left me again. I didn't want to just lay there, so I chased after Mama. "Mama! Noo!! MAMA!"
"Yes, dear?"
"Why do you leave me? I want to be your little girl again!"
"Because I love you, Cerci. If I stayed, you would die."
"I don't care! I'll make sure that doesn't happen! If you love me so much, why don't you stay?"
"I don't want to kill you." Mama went on ahead. Tears swelled up in my eyes. I sniffled. Tears ran down my cheeks in rivulets, then Lulu walked up to me. We hugged.
I want to be Mama's little girl again. I want to wear a cute little pink picnic dress with ribbons and little Mary-Jane shoes...but it won't happen.
