What my thought, what I knew, what I cared...
The teachers of the Secret talk a lot about gratitude.

Being totally grateful for what you have in the moment.

Why is this so important?

Because as soon as you can fully appreciate what you have,
you can easily see your next step.

You will want more, without needing more.

What's the difference?

People with a poverty mindset "need" things.

They need to pay their bills, they need to win the lottery,
they need to just "get by."

But if you have a success mindset, you understand that it's
okay to want things, while still appreciating what you have.

And that will automatically lead you to take action.

When you are in a state of "need" you are paralyzed.

You're so busy worrying about what you don't have that you
end up stuck and desperate.

And you think, "If I can just make X amount of money, I'll
be happy."

But guess what? As soon as you make X money, you're not happy.

You're looking for the next thing you "need."

So what's the answer?

Just be happy now!

There is always something to be grateful for, something to
be happy about.

Focus on it, and you'll attract more happiness into your life.

Focus on what's missing, and you'll just get more of the same.

It all depends on your mindset.

To quote "Dead Poets Society" again:

"Seize the day! Make your lives extraordinary."

Most people don't spend a lot of time thinking about their tongues.

But tongues reveal a great deal about a person.

In eastern cultures, doctors don't just take a pulse. They also look at your tongue.
They believe that not only your health, but also your entire life can be "read" from your tongue.

I'd tend to agree but with a slight twist.

Let me explain.

I went to see a hypnotist body worker this week. While we were talking he said
to me...

"Harlan, people come into their office and all they do is complain. Their shoulder hurts. Their back aches. Their neck is tight. Why don't people come in and tell me what's going right in their lives?"

I thought about how his statement applies to people in general.

A lot of people like to complain. These are poor people.

They complain because they believe they can't change things.

They complain because they feel they've been dealt a bad deal in life.

They complain because they want to "share the love" or negativity.

Rich people don't complain....

They take action.

When the stock market crashed, what did rich people do? They looked for another place to invest their money.

When the real estate market tanked, what did rich people do? They sought to buy houses at rock-bottom prices.

But poor people don't take action - they just complain. And complain.

But you can do something else with your tongue.

You can find something POSITIVE to say. And as we say, like attracts like.

When you speak positive, you attract positive.
