Experimentation!
Either going to be short stories, or a reason to write a book. Ta.
A short story!
Well, since I wanted people to see my writing and give me a yay or nay, I'm going to post my occasional short stories / book chapters up for opinions! Here's one, its a short battle-story I wrote for a contest. it is set in the world of One Piece! Yay! And it contains a grand total of five OC's!

“So, you guys said you needed to leave now?” Ti’ar said, slightly upset. “I think so. Gael’s crew will be wondering where he’d gone,” Ranyx chuckled. They passed by two men, one much short than the other. “So, our next target is here, Jyuu?” the taller man asked, stopping. “Yes, Gyupaa. It’s said that Spandine is stationed here for the time being,” the smaller man, apparently named Jyuu, replied. Ranyx grabbed Ti’ar and Gael and dragged them behind a few barrels. “Oi, what was that fo-,” Ti’ar asked indignantly, before Ranyx covered his mouth. “So, Jyuu, you know the normal plan? I’ll break him,” Gyupaa said walking towards town. “Ti’ar you get the smaller man, Gael you trap the bigger man, and I’ll punish them,” Ranyx said quickly, “They obviously plan to kill someone, and we need to stop them.”

Gael and Ti’ar nodded, and then attacked. One of Ti’ar chains shot out and wrapped around Jyuu’s arms and body, and he dragged the younger man over to him. Vines burst out of the dock’s planks, and quickly immobilized Gyupaa. Ranyx walked out from behind the barrels, asking, “You were saying… what about killing someone?” Gyupaa laughed, and then said, “Yup, that dirtbag Spandine is going down…” Ranyx stopped in front of Gyupaa, and then stopped. He put both fists in front of Gyupaa, and then a large funnel of wind slammed through Gyupaa, moving through him and creating a small crater in a nearby building. Ranyx turned away, prepared to leave. But, instead of the sounds of pain, he instead heard… laughter?!?! Turning around, he saw Gyupaa unharmed, a small doll coming out of his chest and dropping to the floor. If he had looked closely at it, he would’ve seen a hole in its chest.

Gyupaa kept laughing as the vines holding him were frozen. He shattered them, saying, “I still have four men, fool.” He drew his sword and kicked Ranyx in the side. Ranyx flew to the side, hitting the ground hard. Gael created a grenade bush beside him, and then threw two at Gyupaa. They exploded, kicking up dust, and sending a shower of needles at Gyupaa. When the smoke had cleared, Gyupaa was again unharmed, and another doll came out of him, this time with needles on it. Gyupaa ran at Gael, sword at the ready. Gael back flipped away from Gyupaa, as a blade of wind shot from Ranyx’s leg. The Rankyaku sailed over Gyupaa’s head, and Gyupaa jumped, heading straight for Gael. His leg collided with Gael, kicking him into the dock, causing several ribs to break.

Meanwhile, Ti’ar was having problems of his own. The chain he had used to immobilize Jyuu froze, and then was shattered by Jyuu. Jyuu had jumped away from Ti’ar, drawing two tonfa. “You can’t beat me, Marine,” Jyuu scoffed, kicking and seemingly sending a blade of ice at Ti’ar. Ti’ar swung his seastone chain down, and shattered the ice blade. “Doubt it,” Ti’ar said, whipping the chain around and sending it flying at Jyuu. Jyuu shifted his tonfa, and then smacked the chain away, firing a number of icicles at Ti’ar. Ti’ar deflected them all, and then leapt at Jyuu, oblivious to fight going on beside him. Jyuu created several pylons, catching the chain for a few seconds. Jyuu created several sharp ice spears, and sent them flying at Ti’ar, who dodged them, and then swung his chain in an attempt to capture Jyuu’s leg.

Ranyx came out of the smoke created by the first kick, with a murderous look in his eyes. “Oh, did I hurt him?” Gyupaa asked sarcastically. In a flash, Ranyx was moving around Gyupaa at a speed he couldn’t match. Ranyx used Shigan repeatedly, striking Gyupaa with such speed and ferocity, Gyupaa lost another doll, this one filled with little craters. Ranyx leapt back, away from Gyupaa, and Gyupaa staggered a little bit. “I’ll have to take you down before I worry Jyuu,” Gyupaa said, before turning into an odd straw manifestation of his original self. Gyupaa began swiping at the air at Ranyx, sending blades of air shooting at Ranyx. Ranyx began avoiding every attack, and then threw several Rankyaku at Gyupaa. Gyupaa swiped the air, sending several Rankyaku of his own at Ranyx. The opposing Rankyaku collided, and forced each other to dissipate. Ranyx used Soru to appear right behind Gyupaa, and fired another Rokougan into Gyupaa, forcing another doll out of Gyupaa, and leaving only one doll remaining.

Jyuu jumped over Ti’ar’s swing, causing the chain to miss his leg. Jyuu rushed over to Ti’ar while forming a blade of ice onto each of his tonfa. Jyuu swiped at Ti’ar, missing him with the first strike and scraping Ti’ar’s cheek with the other. Ti’ar kicked Jyuu in the stomach, sending Jyuu tumbling and gasping in pain. Ti’ar smirked and drew his arm back to swing the seastone chain and stop Jyuu’s resistance once and for all. He tried to swing the chain, but couldn’t, because his joints were frozen over, restricting his movement. Ice began to creep up his legs, essentially gluing Ti’ar legs to the pier. Jyuu smiled and relaxed a bit, saying, “Gyupaa should be able to handle your friend, but I better check on him just in case.” Jyuu turned to Gyupaa, decidedly ignoring every foul oath that spewed out of Ti’ar’s mouth.

Gyupaa really wasn’t faring too well, however. Ranyx had just landed a ferocious kick to Gyupaa’s side, sending him flying into a wall. Ranyx followed him with Soru, and brought his heel down hard into Gyupaa’s stomach, smashing him into the floor. The last voodoo doll came out of Gyupaa’s stomach, and Ranyx gave Gyupaa several powerful punches to the face and stomach, causing Gyupaa a lot of pain. With a final heel-drop to the stomach, Ranyx almost completely incapacitated Gyupaa. Ranyx smirked, and then ran back to Gael, trying to see if he was okay. An icicle stabbed into his arm, but he pulled it out and kept running. As he knelt down beside Gael, Jyuu was busy coating Gyupaa in a slab of ice and screaming, “Why did you stop us, you freaks?” He levitated Gyupaa onto a ship and created an ice staircase up to the ship’s deck, hurrying up the staircase.

Once on the ship, Jyuu unfroze Ti’ar’s legs, and then yelled to the trio, saying, “You shouldn’t have stopped us. The world would have been better off without that weakling!” Ranyx ignored Jyuu, instead focusing on trying to fix Gael up. Ti’ar ran into town to try to find a doctor, and to report to his superiors. A few days later, Gael’s ribs were set, and the three were ready to part once more. Ranyx and Gael intended to get on better terms with Jyuu and Gyupaa if they met again, while Ti’ar vowed vengeance upon them as he normally would. After the sun set, the three of them had gone their separate ways.
