After a bit of work, I finally freed up some space on my HD and now able to open Photoshop! That means I can work on a new profile. Why a new one? Well... I've had my current one for a while. I like it, but too much of the graphic work isn't my own. The only work that is mine would be the navigation links/buttons... and well... some of the other things were made in Photoshop, but using other people's patterns, like the space-like background and stone bits.
Anyway...
New profile will be more of my own work. Slightly inspired by the Starcraft 2 battle.net interface (just some shapes, but not too much), it'll be more of a colorful theme. Currently it's mostly orange and purple.
What will be in the new layout:
• Navigation symbol buttons (no text navigation)
• About section - may be redone into a more paragraph form, instead of a list.
• Comment section
• Avatar - not the full avatar though. Will likely be just the face, as shown on the My Gaia page
• Equipped items section
• Wish list section
• Links of interest - may remove some of the links
• DS games I own
• Random artwork - adding more to what shows on my current layout
So yeah... pretty much keeping everything, other than the World of Warcraft character information.
I started out wanting to do a minimalistic theme, but due to all the sections I wanted to keep, it wasn't possible.
When will it be done? It's nearly done already actually. Still need to work on 1 navigation button and "perfecting" placing the sections. May do something with behind the sections, similar to what my current profile has. So... it'll be done eventually. Actually made a big dent in it's progress tonight. Had only 3 sections done the other day, but finished up almost everything else tonight.
