Although its been done, I've had another idea!
A Grappling hook that shoots out via the power of motion! I'll need a metal canister, an eraser, jumbo industrial-steel hooks, a long coil of flexible steel, heavy-duty rope, and a fishing rod and its parts.
I'll see if I can get a picture up soon.
