Wow, I feel like my life has come to a standstill lately. Not in a way so that I can't enjoy it, I had a lot of fun with my friends today, but so that I need a big change. I feel like I'm sinking into a pool and I can't get out. It's not a pool of water either. It's a giant pool of disgusting corn syrup. Every once and a while I think that it might be sweet and I stick my tongue out to taste it, but it ends out being too much. It sticks to my tongue and when I raise up my hands to wipe it off, I see that they're covered in corn syrup too. But I'm not alone in the pool. It's Olympic sized and If I do a few laps, then I see someone and we hang out and ignore the fact that we're trapped. Or maybe that's just me. Maybe they see the pool as crystal clear water. Sometimes I think that at the bottom the tiles spell out what everyone wants in life and what they want to be. But I can't see through corn syrup! It's so frustrating sometimes! scream I look to some people for help (in this extended metaphor they can just be the lifeguards) but they shake their heads at me. They see that I can swim, and think that I don't need their help. But they don't understand. I am sick of swimming I want to get out and experience something else and meet new people. I want to see the people that left me too, my old friends that found a way to haul themselves out. I miss them so so much.
