Personality: Chivalrous, adventurous and kind; Jazz is both a lover and a fighter; seeking to save lives on both sides of a battle but rarely turning down a good brawl. She can't decide if she's pretty considering she's tall and lanky instead of tall and curvy like all the other women in her family. She loves to dance, but lately, her groove has been lost. Seeing as how she's a Dealbound, her refusal to commit murder for even the most noble reasons may well prove to be problematic in the future. Due to the death of her grandmother at the hands of Mordred, she's been less than herself. She's been morose, a certain darkness taking place behind her eyes. That might just be a result of her deal though...maybe.
Equipment: Death scythe. Upon making the deal, Balthazar Thorne presented Jazz with a blade named Hecaton, the only other Death Scythe he would be able to grant anyone. This weapon harnesses Entropy.
Balthazar's feather: Long and seemingly a Ravens, it is the color of ebony, the tip fading to blood red. Granted to her by the self same Angel of Death who sponsors her, she can use it to call upon him at any time without the ornate ritual usually involved.
Black Rapier. An enchanted metal bestowed upon her by her late grandmother. It's resistant to rust but not impervious to it.
Demon of Life Pendant: Custom made for her by Isaac, this dagger pendant on a chain allows Jazz to channel and harness pure unfiltered magic, or Mana. In her case, ocean blue energy flies from her hands with a snap of her fingers.
Garuda: The golden, anthropomorphic bird-man is less like equipment and more like an ally. And he certainly is his own person for he won't hesitate to call Jazz out on her failings and seems to delight in getting a rise out of the normally polite lass. He only revealed his sentience to Jazz after Luminara died. Curious indeed. According to him, he sticks around because he has a promise to keep.
Bio: A mixed breed of Fae and Mortal, she was blessed at a young age with speed and grace and thus is rather skilled for one so young. Still, she lacks much. When she came upon Vampire Hunter HQ, knowing her mother to be dead and still feeling the blood of the only man she's killed on her hands, Jazz put up a facade of a simple traveling warrior that quickly came down once she made friends and the pressures of war started to build. Soon after, her grandmother Lumi arrived on Dane Bangs doorstep and asked for Jazz's return. Jazz refused and convinced her grandmother to let her stay until she had fulfilled every promise she'd ever made. The rest is history. But what really made her take the mantel of the deal? Maybe the subjection of her friends to evil and her inability to stop it more times than not? The loss of every member of her family? Som, the seeming pacifist slaying the incomparable Balthazar Thorne? Seeing her Grandmother die before her eyes...All of it probably. Jazz has come to this point with sparse little guidance and even less wisdom to call her own, so the path before her is as unclear as water on a foggy day. Still, if she continues to excel at this rate, one day soon she'll be a force to be reckoned with indeed.
