The boy sat quietly for a moment, the look on his face was that of pure astonishment, for there in front of him was the most delicious looking roasted ham. The boy grinned and cut into the ham as his mother folded her hands in prayer"no," she said sternly just before he could shove the fork full of meat into his mouth "we have to say grace first, you know this..." the boy rolled his eyes and folded his hands obediently as his mother said the usual prayer. The second she said the word Amen the boy began digging in, his mother watching him with a smile on her face, as she ate slowly. After dinner the two of them stayed at the table for a while afterward and spoke about daily events and soon it was time for the boy to get ready for bed. He bathed quickly and slunk off to his room where his mother wait to say good night. He rolled his eyes again as she began another prayer and again the moment she said the word Amen he gave her a kiss good night and laid down to sleep.
The boy tossed and turned throughout the night, his face breaking out in a cold sweat. When he opened his eyes he saw a beautiful woman, her black hair just long enough to cover her breasts and a black silk cloth hugged her hips and flowed down to the floor. The boy rubbed his eyes and gawd at this beautiful woman standing before him and wondered if it were all a dream. "Such a handsome young man," The woman said sweetly "how old are you?" "sixteen." he replied quietly. The woman seemed to ponder this for a long time and then a smile appeared on her face. "What do you desire most in this world?" the boy blushed and looked at her body, studying every inch of her beauty "to be honest," he whispered "I desire you." the woman laughed softly and walked over to the bed, she leaned over and kissed him, her lips were as cold as ice. The boy felt so cold at that moment but at the same time he felt so warm. " Am I your true desire?" The woman asked seductively.The boy could only nod, he was speechless, he could not believe that this was all real. The woman pulled out a piece of paper written in a language the boy could not understand "this is a marriage contract. If you truly want me, sign on the line."the woman handed him the paper and a pen. The boy hesitated for a moment and looked at the woman carefully, he took the paper and slowly signed his name. The woman rolled the paper up and shoved it into a small pouch and smiled and took the boys hands in hers " Now I am all yours, and you are all mine." She whispered and pressed her lips to his. (*) The boy felt a shooting pain run all over his body. His body convulsed and he screamed as a burning sensation ran through his veins. His vision began to blur and world began to tint a subtle shade of gray and then everything went black.
When the boy woke up he could not believe his eyes, there was the woman sleeping soundly right next to him. He smiled, she was so beautiful and she was all his. He stopped his train of thought and realized that he did not even know her name and yet he felt like he was in love with her. He didn't want to wake her up so he quietly slipped some clothes on and walked downstairs to where his mother would be preparing breakfast. He nodded his good morning, and his mother looked at his with a questioning face "You slept a little later than usual." She remarked. The boy simply nodded and sat down to eat breakfast. For some reason the boy felt groggy, as if he was not really there. His ears rung slightly and his vision was blurred. He said grace with his mother and bit into the food, his face flashed fear for he could not taste anything. He took a deep breath and his face flashed even more fear for he could not even smell. His mother noticed this odd behavior and stared with a confused look on her face "is something wrong?" He jumped up and ran upstairs to find the woman still sound asleep, her nude body uncovered now. He sat down and gently touched her hair, his hands trailing along her beautiful face "what have you done to me?" he whispered. She opened her eyes and stared at him a moment "I am sorry. I have bought your soul." She said it with no emotion that the boy thought it was a joke, but the look on her face told him that it was not. He stared in awe, he could not believe his ears. How could this woman give him such pleasure one night, and then cause him so much pain. Then he remembered what they had done the night before. He had never felt such a way before. It was euphoria. He felt so happy with her. The woman touched his arm gently and smiled "I'm sorry, but I love you." The moment she said those words he no longer cared if he could not taste or smell. He loved this woman, and she loved him and that is all that matters in this world.
