I was getting tired of people asking me about my username... o uo;; So, I'm not sure if it's going to do any good, when I put it in my journal... but, I'll give it a shot! xD The username Of Velvet Smiles originated from a conversation that I had with an online friend. He was basically the reason why I chose this name. 8D Our conversation went something along the lines of this:

[We were on the topic of smiling, and I was complaining about how he never smiled. So, I tried getting him to~ o uo]
Me: 8D !!
Friend: It's a wonder to me, how exactly can you smile so much? I honestly wouldn't be all that surprised if your mouth fell off, one of these days.
Me: Heeey~ Dx
Actually... my mouth does virtually hurt! 8D
Friend: I'm fairly certain it does. You're definitely a strange one.
Me: Not as strange as... velvet! > w> Velvet is reeeeally strange~! 8D
Friend: Velvet?
Me: Yeah~! Did you ever touch velvet before? It feels so... unique! x3
Friend: And I believe your uniqueness has reached new heights.
Me: Like this smile? ---> 8DDD;;;
Friend: Of course... a unique smile for a unique girl.
Me: -Gasp- You just gave me an idea! ...I can be the queen... of velvet smiles! 8D
Friend: Huh... how is that possible?
Me: Weeeellll~ I'll make everyone have a velvety, smooth, and most of all... unique smile! xD
Friend: ...
You know what? ...I think you just might be able to pull that off. -Gives a warm smile-
Me: =O -Gasp- You... smiled...! You actually smiled... for once! ;w;
Friend: Heh... thanks to the queen of velvet smiles. xP
Me: Squee! > u< -Feels accomplished-
Friend: Though, of course, your 'velvet' smile is the original. If anyone else were to be... 'something of velvet smiles'... it would never work.
Me: You flatterer... = 3=;; ...Hehe, I'm the original 'of velvet smiles'! 8D

And, basically... that is how this name came to be. o wo
