I want to feel your arms around me
Hugging me tight all day and night
I want to know you like me
You understand why I am the way I am
I want to know you will always be my friend
When I'm lost and all alone
I want to know that you need me
That you will be there, when I'm there for you
I need to see you near me
When I’m blind and scared
And your shoulders there to cry on
When I’m lost and afraid
Your voice is enough to calm me
When the ground falls away
And your touch can heal
All the scars I create
And this selfish poem
Is just a way home
It’s for me to believe in
And to help me live
Cause flying, falling or drowning
I'm numb inside
Until I see you and the light comes
The warmth returns to my body
And I wake up
