What a day! I’m up to my knickers in worries and papers and books. It’s been really hot recently. I couldn’t sleep last night at all. I fell asleep around 12 and woke up around 3. Took around 1.5 hours to fall back asleep and had a few dreams…And I entirely forgot I had therapy today. 1st (Or should I say, 3rd.) period was Study Skills. Nothing uneventful. But I got the longing to borrow a book from the library that I had been wanting to read for a while. I had really been wanting to read Faust, Divine Comedy, and Rosemary’s Baby recently for some reason. I was wanting to read Divine Comedy first but the library was closed because they were STILL checking out text books. Really annoying. History was uneventful. Lunch I played zOmg! With Aly for the whole of lunch and checked my mules, remarking “It is by far better to be in a team with someone who is sitting right next to you than having to work with someone who is far away or in another room.” Jokingly. English period was last and after lunch. I spent an hour and a half or so listening to presentations and eventually giving one myself on those stupid posters. We left an hour before it was over and we went inside… Turns out I had a dollar in my pocket. Which I used to get a soda. (Fruit juice, why is it always fruit juice? I’ve been drinking it so much recently! I even had a Gatorade after it!) We then wandered around to try and cool off and ended up just letting me go. Went and got Gatorade, fretted over my journal… I really wanted to read Divine Comedy. So we went to the San Carlos Library to see if they had any of the books and if I could check them out. They DIDN’T have Faust or Rosemary’s Baby, which amused me. (And they’re BOTH cult classics. Come on!) Went to therapy and had to relate 3 weeks worth of events to my therapist. It didn’t help…. Then went home. Turns out, Picture Day is on the 7th and 8th of September. Also, my Mom told me my pillowcase shipped. I’ll be getting it in a couple weeks! Depending on whether it’s being shipped by boat or plane….. I’ve been worrying about money too much. So many things on Gaia I want to earn with gold. (Turns out I really want a Happycat plush.) Mabye I should sell something… Nah, I’m a hoarder. Recently my Mom was going through a bunch of things in drawers and I saw this little red box with what I thought was “Risk” on it… (Turns out it was something else.) I asked her what it was and I thought it was probably Jewelry. It was. It was Gold Orchids with diamonds clustered in the middle of the flower in a pendant and earring set. My Mom had bought this in Singapore when she went I don’t know how many years ago for about 57 Singapore dollars and had never worn it. She has sworn off gold now too because she has gray hair now. She asked me if I wanted it, and I told her Orchids were one of my favorite flowers. She said I could have it now or I could have it for Hannukah. I said to save it for Hannukah… But the idea… Oh lord, they were so pretty! Dad went to a baseball game today on his own. The game lasted from 12 to around 5 PM and the Giants lost 11 to 12. I can't wait for Friday!
