Domo Backpack ate my head....
Crazy adventures in this world we call, GAIA.
The GAIA Times Newspaper shuts down...
The GAIA Times Newspaper will be shutting down in the coming weeks. Once I post up the admins interview, it will be the end of the GAIA Times. The GAIA Times Newspaper was created March of 2003, when the very first event in Gaia was to occur. I use to enjoy running around establishments cathcing the latest news in the Role Playing world of Gaia. But due to the recent stresses being a moderator...I don't think I want to manage it anymore.

There isn't a need for The GAIA Times, because of all the useful and informative stickies out there in Q&F forum land. So get ready...The GAIA Times is shutting down...so stop PMing me advertisements. If you have any comments you wish to have published in The GAIA Times please submit them to me when I start asking for them in the newspaper.

Thank you for being a reader of The GAIA Times.

Wow eek I don't know what to say, but I can understand why you feel you can't run it anymore, but thanks Arwen for a great read and information whenever it came out. It shall be missed.

I read the Gaian Times too! It's a shame you're closing it down, but if it's for the benefit of you stressing less - then it's a good idea. I'll miss it, & a lot of others will too. I'll await to see if I can submit something nice for the farewell. 3nodding heart

On another note, I hope you change your mind. gonk You could get someone else to take care of it for a while? whee

It's a real shame.

The Journal is one of the best ways to keep current with all things Gaian.

If there was a way to move it away from the fourms so a small staff could do the work for you, and new editions would still help keeping things up-to-date without stressing Arwen out, it would be a good thing for Gaia & Gaians.

I'm sorry you feel you need to shut things down, but I think we can all understand your reasons for doing so.

I wonder what the next Gaia paper will be like...

commentCommented on: Mon Nov 29, 2004 @ 06:25pm
Yikes... I wonder if anyone will start up a new paper?

^ ^;

Arwen, I think it's a wise decision. For those of us who have read the Gaian Times, I think we can recognize it for its achievements. It's a reliable news source that sought to bring the community together. I think we can also understand how you might want to pass on the torch... at least that's what people should know.

Congratulations Arwen, for a job well done.

Let's hope that someone out there is willing to carry on the tradition...taking the torch from Arwen as you will. whee
