Tanaki yawned loudly as he sat on the tree branch he settled in after using his shunshin technique. He sighed and slipped something out of his bag. In his hand was a pale slip of paper with several kanji symbols. A lightning tag. A slip of paper that's originally Tanaki's idea. He took a moment and concentrated his chakra into the slip of paper, giving it a charge.
Something popped in Tanaki's head. There was something he could've tried a long time ago, but never got around to doing it. He took his Tsurugi, which was lobbed into the tree's bark, and observed the thick blade. Tanaki smiled. His idea then came to mind. Yes, it would work. Now that he was away from them, he could plot in private without pesky flies bugging him.
He took the lightning tag and stuck it to the very tip of the Tsurugi's blunt side and tapped it.
