Selphinia - Home to Mae
Selphinia itself is a country on top of a cloud that always stays in the sky; you just have to look carefully.
The Palace The palace is made entirely of a crystal-like stone. The palace doors are made of solid gold, as well as some walls in the palace. The palace has 30 rooms, each a different theme and has a different purpose. The most important, the throne room, houses the thrones where Mae's mother and father (the king and queen). These thrones are special, as they give the person who is sitting in them power over the land. However, you must prove to the thrones that you are in fact the king, queen, or princess by reciting a line in Selphinic. On the walls in the throne room are paintings of all of their ancestors and the royal line, including one of Mae. Besides Angel, Mae is the only one in the line who possesses wings and are actually shown in the portrait. Mae's favorite place in the palace, the music hall, is where all the residents of Selphinia visit the most to hear Mae's singing and piano compositions. The music hall has every instrument known to man.
The Village The village is like any other village anywhere else. You have your tavern, your shops, and most importantly, the village square where all the village's festivities are held. One major festivity the Selphinians enjoy is the Flight of Fancy show, where Mae and her mother perform shows in the air while fireworks go off. People are granted the wish to be able to fly that night.
The Gates The Gates is the doorway into Selphinia that everyone must pass as a safety measure. The Gates reach to about fifty feet in the air.
