Eventually your veil of beauty is going to fall,
Your heart won't race; it'll slow to a crawl.

Though it is them you never stop trying to please.
Reread the question; what is it you're trying to answer?
You're encasing yourself in a shell, covered in plaster.
Hiding from yourself, from the veins keeping you alive.
It's a battle in itself, trying to survive.
Yet the question still flickers, on the corner of the screen.
Inconspicuous at first, but now it's the only thing you can see.
Read between the lines, the natural ones amongst your skin.
If you look a little deeper, you just might find some faith from within.
Now you're ready to choose, but you're not sure what to decide.
About to unveil the truth, and now there's nothing left to hide.
Lay down your guns, bring the mask from your face.
If this isn't what you wanted, you shouldn't have chosen it in the first place.
