Preface

I searched through the blaze of heat for an escape.
"Audrey! Run! "
I ran, half-blinded by tears and ash, into the never ending fire. I covered my ears as I heard the screams of my mother and father being tortured by the flames. I shuddered when the screams stopped.
I fumbled through my pocket for my phone as I dialed 911.
"911, what is your emergency?"
"H-help me," I was panicking," Fire... fire!"
"Where are you?"
I felt my leg sting. I felt a warm liquid seep out.
"Hurry!"
My eye sight became foggy, and the smoke was getting to me.
"help..." I felt my leg give in.
I saw a pair of feet walking toward me as everything went black.
