I miss the way your hair drapes my face
The way your eyes peer into mine
I miss the way your sweet lips taste
The way you leave my troubles behind
I miss your soft enticing embrace
The way you seem to stop time
I miss the way you catch me on my fall from grace
And take away my urge to fade

It feels so vacant here
Without you standing close
It feels so very weird
To be a seed and never grow
It makes me ponder
The possibilities I’ve ignored
It makes my mind wonder
Could I have used my time just a little more

I claim not to be a savior
But I do believe you were mine
Wishing to have some time to savor
The moments left behind
