This is an item I wished to have ever since I was a little Gaian.
This year I aim to make this wish, a dream or a mere hope,
sprout its shoots. After all, what is a hen without its feathered wings?

Long long ago, a girl, a rather sarcastic girl admittedly,
was turned into a hen. You laugh and snort, I know,
but it wasn't because she said something mean or malicious,
but she simply said that she wanted wings, to a young witch
who at that point still hadn't the hang of her gifts,
and so when trying to give Red, the little girl, her wish,
she turned her into...well a hen.
But not just any hen, but one
who would become human during the night,
and turn back into a hen in the day.
Just imagine how annoyed the girl was.
So when the first night came,
upon two feet she went,
to the witch's home, knocked on her door,
and said in such a rude and sarcastic manner,
"why not let me lay some chocolate eggs as well?"
So the witch decided, after such a rude outburst,
to still her wings forever,
but upon tears spilt from the girl's eyes,
she revealed how to undo the magic.
She said:
"find the wings you truly seek,
and earn them through kindness and gratitude.
Then I will release you form my spell.
Call it a curse if you want,
but I think of it as a helping hand.
