The DeVars Chronicles
This is something that would mess up my schedule or turn things another way around - keep me busy for a while.
Chronicles of The Lost Thought: Over Haul

The cold wind has blown again - though we weren't there. I have been inside some dream that even I cannot control. It wasn't just me that was stuck in the wild dream though. She - the one always coming with me - the inquisitive girl - had came as well...

I never knew if it was just a product of my imagination - that the dream had conjured her as well. But the more I think of it, the more I'll just stuck to my some runaway thought.

This isn't really a good time to think about it now - even if it's my world - my dream - I could feel that there's something wrong here. Slowly, these small dust-like things turn the color of these feet of mine to grey concrete, and right now - these dusts had gotten hold of my foot.

I don't sense any panic... or maybe it hasn't came. The only thing focused on my thoughts were how to leave this place. I knew it wasn't mine to start. And I wish I'd wake up already.

Please hear my voice.

And there - she saw... a small thread like thing extending from his shirt. A single thin thread that seem to float in mid-air. She tried to pull it. The thin string lengthened somewhat, though the cloth doesn't seem to get pulled. She pulled harder.

Funny thing was - I got pulled as well... nearer and nearer from where I am standing... pulled out from the grey things that eat my consciousness... pulled out from the transparent barrier that held me to a viewer's state... nearer and nearer to where the source had been pulling - her. She never did gave-up on the pulling though - like a child so innocent on the new toy, she unceasingly gave sharper and sharper pull to the string. Maybe, if you could see closely to her eyes you'd see this dangerous glare in it - a mix of irritation and enthusiasm, of fun and angst at the same time.

With the last pull from the long thin thread, she gave it all, and I got totally pulled into me, which awoken me like falling a thousand feet down to hit squarely on a concrete floor. I quickly took as deep breath as the sudden impact hit me like a bowling ball.

Seeing my surprised and shocked reaction from her sharp pull, she immediately tried to hide the thread to her back and pretended nothing had come about, "Heh.", she smiled, "Just thinking where this thread led to. I pulled and pulled though I couldn't find it's end - somehow I pulled you along...", she tried to rectify her actions and bring in a good reason.

I laughed at her response. I knew what she did - I saw what had happened, but I didn't said a thing. I simply smiled and hugged her tight. "Yeah - you really did pulled me along. " And she did pulled me along - not just in the verbal way, but also out away from those things that tried to eat my existence.

She smiled back and by just looking at her pleased face I could very well tell that she knew the real me had came back. Her small hands also glided in and returned the embrace. She never said anything after that. Just buried her face in my shirt, sighs, and closed eyes.

I almost forgot what I had been thinking about before the fateful thing happened - I had to get out of here. This place.. isn't just the one to be remembered right now. So - eventhough she is still hugging and enjoying my return - I decided to let the celebration end momentarily and gave some distance within us. "The celebration can wait... though - Let's go back home."

Her eyes gleamed while looking at me and after a long pause, gave me a quick jump and a tight hug. "Yaaay!". she shouted with extreme happiness, "I was waiting - waiting for you to come to -", she continued on, whispering near my ear. "- for you to come back..."

"Hmm...", I softly nodded, "I'm glad you had waited for me. Thank you for the wait."

"I'm just happy you're here now!", she quietly responded, clinging to me and hugging tight like never gonna let me go again, "Missed you - missed you so much."
I got touched. And words just left me out to my thoughts. The only thing I could say was to get home now and continue the happiness thereon, "Let's go home...", I softly suggested - being very careful not to hurt nor disrupt her moment.

She nodded but still clung on, "Yeah - let's go home." - but, still, tightly clung on.

Never gonna let go...
