I woke up around 9am and was out of my friend Shelby's house by about 10 to go pick up my friends Jade and Josh. Since I'm on crutches they helped unload the artwork I had in my trunk and grab boxes from upstairs in my apartment. After finishing that task and talking to my land lady Marji, we headed towards BGSU and stopped for lunch at Subway.
Talking amongst ourselves, eating our sandwiches, Jade brings up the fact that Sleeping With Sirens was playing in Toledo and tickets were only $12, so we finished eating spent a few hours packing my room up and cramming my car with random items from my dorm room that I'm almost moved out of.
We finished up around 4:45, which wasn't bad because we were then on the road to head to T-Town for this concert. We got there like 5:30 and parked at Rite Aid. Doors to Frankie's Inner City opened at 6. When we finally got in to buy our tickets, the bouncer looked at me and with a serious angry face said "No gimps allowed." And I was all sad and stuff, but he was totally kidding and told me I could sit over at the bar (which never had any empty seats up until hours after the bands were done playing).
Since I was on crutches, we had a decent spot off on the side of the stage where the band members got on and off the stage. The first band, Armustus, and the second band, It's A Trap, were pretty good. Finally Sleeping With Sirens came on and some ******** c**t pushes in front of my, steps on my cast and almost knocks me backwards. Between here jumping and pushing me, and the massive mosh pit to my right that poor tiny Jade is trying to keep off me I loose my balance and fall back. Luckily, the singer for It's A Trap was standing behind me because when they were playing he saw me on crutches and decided to stand behind me just in case that did happen, which it did, so he caught me. And it was super cool. He fended off all the a*****e hipsters for me. smile
Anyways, a few songs in Jack (one of the guitarists) straight up drops. He ******** his knee up. So Jack was taken off stage for a song to re-cope for the closer and Kellin played Let Love Bleed Red (which he said was the first at any concert, so that's really cool). Then Jack came back on stage and finished up. After that Jack pretty much disappeared.
By this point and time we lost Josh with how many people were in this place. I let him borrow my keys earlier to go out to my car and he never came back, so I assumed he was just at the back of the crowd since this place was just so packed.
We go outside, get a picture with the second guitarist Jesse and I saw Kellin get in the van. So we chilled outside the van till he came out and he came and took pictures with us and signed our stuff.
Jack, who was in passenger seat of the van Kellin had just come out of, opened his door and started talking to me, but I didn't realize he was talking to me. Kellin was asking me about my marker, and my brain like straight up over loaded and I was all "Guys. Chill." And I gave Kellin my marker and went over to talk to Jack. As Jack's telling me about what he did to his knee and what he thinks is wrong with it, he looked at my cast and said "eh, you'll be in it a week." And I replied "actually, about another 5 weeks." and he looked so sad. He was all "Don't say that! We tour again in June! This will have me down for months! That would be horrible!" Now I'm accidentally ignoring Jade and Kellin because he's trying to give me my sharpie back. My bad. So I get my sharpie back and I was all "Dude, your best bet is to get in the back of the van, elevate your knee, and use lots of ice." I was then going to ask Jack to take a picture with me, but I realized I had been standing there talking to him sitting in his boxer brief undies. I then felt kind of awkward and crutched away. So I also met up with my friend Kaitlyn from school. I went to go sit by her and she was freaking out about a condom on the sidewalk. So I used my crutch to fling it away. And we decided my crutch got AIDS from touching the condom.
So we're ready to leave now. We've been calling and texting Josh for like, ever. He finally comes walking down the sidewalk and I'm all "What the ******** dude?" And he's all "You're gonna be so pissed at me... I am so sorry. I locked your car keys in your car."
So I called my friend's brother since my spare keys are at their house. I tried the whole remote unlock button through the phone, and it didn't work (of course). So we went to Rite Aid and they dialed the non emergency police station in Toledo for me. They then informed me that the police don't carry the equipment anymore to open up the cars that I'd have to call a towing company or my insurance company. Well ********. All my s**t is locked in my car. So I start calling a bunch of people asking them to pick up my spare keys and bring them to me in Toledo. It's dark, chilly, and raining and Rite Aid closes in like 20 minutes. Finally I got a hold of my friend Porter and he was all "dude my curfew's at 10. Well, I'll ask Scott to come get you. Let me call you back." About 2 minutes later he was calling me back and said he was on his way to pick up my spare keys and that he and Scott would be on their way to come get me asap.
Porter then flips on me cause I told him Rite Aid was closing and was all "I want you to get inside blah blah blah Toledo can be dangerous at night."
We wound up walking back over to the bar and pretty much everyone was gone. The bouncer was cool and let us in since it was cold and raining and we got to watch some ******** auto-tuned karaoke and I ran into a few people that I graduated with. It was weird.
Porter finally showed up with my keys and by this point I had to pee so ******** bad. We spent like a half hour going to closed fast food restaurants and none of them would let us in to use their bathroom! So finally these two black dudes standing outside was all "You could use the bathrooms at the Cybor Cafe" so we headed over there and on the doors are big signs that say "DO NOT PASS IF UNDER 21." And they're all over the place. I turn 19 next week, but I didn't let the sign bug me.
I crutched in like I owned the place, used their bathroom, and left. No one even ID'd me. It was a large casino.
Finally we got back to my hometown and my car is still full of my junk that we had to move. It's like 1am and they took a few things out of my back seat. Everything else is still sitting in my car.
I took them home and got back to campus around 2am. The bus was no longer running. It's still raining, I'm tired, and ready for bed. 1/3 of the way back someone finally offered me a ride. I got out of the car and to my building to find I didn't have my room keys.
I had to wait forever for someone to come let me in. Luckily my RA was working front desk so she just came and unlocked the door for me and let me use the elevator.
It was 3am when I was in my room. After I got done changing and everything it was about 4 and I then finished my final art project which was due at 1pm for exam critique after my psychology exam. I finished my art project around 7am and laid in bed awake, but exhausted (because I got this really hard to get energy drink from NY it's called Xtreme Shock. Stuff will keep you up legit forever). My alarm went off at 9 and I harassed Amber for an hour until she finally woke up so I could print all my art stuff. It took me like 45 minutes to crutch to my psychology exam and then 30 some odd minutes to crutch to the art room. Random time went by and the critique was supposed to be starting soon, except no one had shown up... except me. So I called someone from my class to see if we were supposed to be in a different room. She then informed me that the critique was yesterday. Not today.
Now I'm freaking out and losing it. I'm exhausted, dehydrated, and hysterical. My friend Ryan texted me, thank god, and picked me up. We drove out to my car so I could pick up my room keys and he's looking in my car but can't find them. So I called Jade. My keys were still in her purse now 45 minutes away. Ryan then took me to Taco Bell for lunch and then drove me back to my car. I had to drive back to Oak Harbor to pick up my room keys.
That's been my last 32 hours. I still haven't slept. And I wanted to write this all out so I wouldn't forget any of it.
