Personality: Friendly – Calling Marie something else then friendly, would be calling a bird a fish. She loves meeting new people and adores getting herself some new acquaintances she can invite to her many tea parties. She doesn’t quite understand people’s need for personal space and privacy, as she grew up without any. If she’s not allowed to hug someone when saying hello or goodbye, she’ll become upset and feel offended. She hugs unfamiliar men as well, which has caused a few rumors that she’s a tramp.
Generous – One of Marie’s biggest passions are giving out gifts. She loves preparing items others might have use for and the surprise and happiness in their eyes just makes it all better. She could probably give up her whole home to a single person, just to make them smile. Thankfully, Thomas has her on a leash and keeps her away from doing anything too drastic. Planning parties is fun too! Marie will find an excuse to celebrate any occasion and make it as grade as it can possibly get. Her generosity might be a bit too much, as she gives away often and in large numbers as well. Marie shows up often at her friend’s house, without any warning, with box after box with her containing overly expensive and sometimes unusable items. If she doesn’t get a proper ‘thank you’, she’ll come back later with something she believes will make the receiver more content.
Selfish – Marie has a problem considering other people’s feelings. She also expects people to do anything she asks for, and often starts whining if she doesn’t get her way. And her whining is loud, obnoxious and direct torture for the ears of everyone within 10 miles. As much as she likes to give away, she hates sharing things she adores and uses on a regular basis. They’re her’s, and she has no obligations to let anyone else use it. Use a fork if you’re so desperate to comb your hair! MY CAKE!
Motherly – It may not be her most obvious trait, but Marie always looks out for everyone’s wellbeing. She’s the first to suggest compromising in quarrels, she’s the one with her hand up the quickest when someone needs to watch the children, she volunteers to help out in the kitchen if somebody wants a break, she tries to come up with solutions when everything else is failing, she’ll nurse if someone is sick and she’ll always be there if someone is in need. Sure, she’s not the best at it, but she gives it her all. She feels as it’s her duty to help others and make them feel good, and is willing to do whatever it takes.
Clumsy - As much as Marie believes she’s the queen of the dance floor, she really isn’t. She lacks coordination. She’s constantly hitting people in the face with her large hand gestures, she continuously keep breaking fine decorations and walks directly into dangers. Somehow though, she seems to not notice it and shrugs it off as bad luck. Thank goodness there’s always a person around to save her from certain death.
Honest – Marie is a very honest girl. She’ll say what’s on her mind, and she’s not afraid to tell her opinion even when everyone is against her. She has a problem though of thinking out loud and this has caused her to have a rather vulgar reputation.
Lonely – Marie is very often home alone, as her husband is out on duty most of the year. She doesn’t like to be alone, as she grew up in a large family where everyone was together at every single moment of the day. She tries her best to stay with her friends, but she can’t live at their house all day. The fact that Marie is incapable to have children makes her self-esteem pretty low, and she has spent a lot of nights crying about it. Mentioning this topic and directing it at her may cause her to break into tears and cry hysterically.
Habits: Talking constantly (notably loud and fast), laugh out loud when amused, spontaneously sprout out odd ideas, postpone important things to the very last minute, using a lot of large hand gestures , drinking too much too fast, smiling without any reason, trying to get her friends to “hook up” with her many failed married cousins and siblings, “barrowing” children and animals that don’t have parental supervision, stop to check her hair and makeup each time she passes by a mirror or shiny window (and oddly enough becomes incredibly focused and silent for the few moments she’s spiffing herself up), correcting other people’s dresses and hair and “barrowing” friends items (luckily, she usually returns them. Usually… if she remembers).
Likes: Drinking tea, shopping, dressing up and talking to her friends.
Adores: Kids, giving away gifts, arranging parties and meeting new people.
Dislikes: Being blown off, being ignored and not being allowed to hug others.
Hates: People who continuously keeps ignoring her, sharing certain items, not getting attention from her husband, the fact that she can’t have children, not being allowed to dress up, not getting her beauty sleep.
Fears: Swimming and rats.
Special interests: Fashion, decorating and horseback riding.
Avoids: Wet things in general, things that smell, dogs she doesn’t know and basements.
Couldn’t care less about: Her real duties.
Talents: Balancing a spoon on her nose, drinking like a sailor.
Lacks ability to: sing (tone death), dance and lie.
Quotes: “Oh, pardon me!”, “My goodness---!”, “ Can I keep it/her/him? Oh, please, Thomas, let me keep it/her/him”, “There is no such thing as too much good”, “Pft, nonsense!”, “Sweetheart; I’m not crazy… Thomas had me tested and I still got two points left”.
