... The place had been dead until they got here, hadn't it? Her ears folded back flat to her skull, confusion hitting her features, wondering why the place had suddenly come to life. It couldn't have been on standby mode, could it? Urk... Technology infuriated her sometimes. Still, as ever, the paranoid female's response would be to pull free her sword and stand still in anticipation. She knew better (or at least thought she did) than to believe this was a good thing.

Aurelus LaCrois
He watched with delight as the city was virtually resurrected around them, everything flickering with brilliant life.

"It's almost like it was expecting us..... I wonder if this is what they saw."

He continued looking at everything around them, and then noticed the skyways, pointing up at them.

"They lead right there, if there is security it might get us in over it."

Nero looked around the city slowly rose to life around them. No, that was quite the right word was it? More like the city awoken from a deep sleep. Still it was a pretty spectacular sight. Speaking of seeing, Nero would spot the sky bridges at about the same time that Aurelus did. "Yeah and it'll give us a good look at the city, so we can assist the others if they aren't so fortunate." Was he worried? Not really. The youth was just thinking about it logically and he knew that it would more helpful for the other teams if they had someone from the inside opening all of the doors. That was of course, if they got there first. And it wasn't likely that any of the others would get there first, seeing as their party took the most direct route. Barring some kind of transportation, they would get there first, right?

Isaac had just turned a very level Look at Elliot and Tobias, the station around suddenly powers up and comes to life. It was safe to say that the Neko would flinch at the squealing noises of the restraining arms as they released the train. "O...kay," he mutters, a little bit disturbed. Why had things suddenly powered up now? Regardless, he did not consider it a coincidence. It would not deter him from using the platform to cross over to the train proper though, but he does move cautiously.

"Interesting..." he comments to no one in particular as he examines the devices that were powering up, wandering from front to back before recognizing that the control room must be behind the doors in the center. Along with the deciphered symbols, he had been studying the datasphere or, more importantly, the design schematics within. That left him with passing sort of familiarity of what might be expected, but he still grumbles as he tries to get the door open. Needless to say, he would not let anybody try a more forceful means to open one of the doors, and he would finally meet with success, by the time of which the train route information would have shown up on the screens in the passenger area.

After examining the video feeds, he says, "I'm a little concerned on why everything just powered up, but seeing as this is a direct path toward the central palace..." He would then look for the controls of the vehicle and, assuming he found them and could decipher any symbols labeling them, would tell Elliot which to manipulate to get the train going, with the warning, "None of your usual funny business," by which he meant no zero to full-speed and 0.006 seconds. Okay, that was an exaggeration, but the point would still stand...

"Maybe all it needs is the presence of people?" Elliot suggests. She grins like a kid in a candy store when she seems to have permission to drive. She pouts a bit, however, when she's disallowed from driving with her usual...enthusiasm. Still, she complies and manages to enjoy it, anyway. At least she was getting to do something interesting,

Elerin jumped a bit as the arms that was apparently holding the train had let it go and looked around nervously, wondering if anything was following them or if someone had started to turn the systems on. Only after making sure nothing was around them she would follow the others and of course only then would Krissa follow. It was interesting indeed that the city was beginning to come to life and she looks for a seat. "Well maybe that was all it needs, but it still doesn't mean I'm not creeped out and wary..." The mageling replies and looks at Krissa.

Krissa mumbled and meeped loudly as the energies around them suddenly sprung up to life and she clung to her sister's arm though was ready to throw a better barrier around them though stopped when Elerin calmed down a bit. Moving cautiously with her sister she sits beside her and looks at Elliot and Isaac then to the other Boy that was with them as well. "I don't like this...." Krissa actually replies, her words trailing off in a hiss.

Tobias entered behind the twins, made even more suspiscious when things started turning on. Elliot's words made a lot of sense. Of course, if that was the case, security could pop up at any point. For now, he kept silent, watching the windows.

Meanwhile, Asila, who had been depending on her sixth sense for magic, suddenly SHRIEKED, falling back and holding her hand to her head, an incredible headache developing instantly as she instinctually turned off those senses.

It was like being in complete darkness and then having floodlights SLAMMED on right in your eyes. She was practically blinded again.

"Asila!" Rostislav was instantly at her side, supporting her with his oversized gauntlet. "The city, er, switched on, yes?" he asked everyone around him. "Wariness! There may also be security involved. We are, technically, armed, forieghn invaders. On gaurd!" gently, he cradled the blonde woman in his hand, lifting her up and carrying her behind the massive sheild, hoping to safegaurd her from the intensity.

When the lights had started to flicker he started to look around nervously and didn't like the click that seemed to happen. Not like he could do anything about it, but ran to loom over Asila, ready to attack and defend. As the city came to life all of a sudden Xeras' head perked up and watched the machines hustle about to do what it seemed to be their programming to do. He made sure that nothing was harmful yet before he got an odd thought in his head. He wouldn't leave to go do anything until Asila was alright. He whimpered a bit and his face was close to hers, wanting to help. Though that was short lived as Rosti came up and took her away and all. he plopped his rear there on the ground and looked around more, grumbling a bit as he did so. At least she was being taken care of...wasn't much he could do anyway.

Huh-wha? The city suddenly turning on is all it takes to break Jazz out of her focus upon the shadows.
"Asila!" Jazz shouts out to the blind healer, surprised. Her ears perk up at the sound of scuttling, like ocean creatures coming onto the shore in waves.
"?" Little machines..."What the Hell are those?" Jazz is more curious than worried, despite Rosti's suggestion to be on guard. The Dealbound even squats down to get a better look.
