Things had become dull since the abduction. Which was good for Xikar. His life was at least becoming something "normal". He didn't really see much of the others Charlie every now and then while on a delivery run, and Krowe once or twice when needed some help moving cargo around. He assumed Thilath was still visiting her family which wasn't the most abstract thing especially after what they discovered about her and Charlie. Honestly he thought about visiting his godparents, aka his aunt and uncle but he didn't think the time was right.
A cold monday crept in, no big deliveries so all Xik did was train. He wanted to be on the top of his game so he could protect his friends should they find themselves in danger again. The night was quiet till he heard his mail slot open and close. Checking outside nobody was there, mail delivery had ended hours agos.
Inspecting the letter all it said was: Kira; and the back read Desmond. Desmond was "savior" for him and his friends after being abducted. Was this Desmond calling in a favor....the b*****d if he was. He was too tired to put Desmond in his place at the time but he was with the others he odd that guy nothing.
Xik ripped the letter open and read its contents quickly.
Dear Kira or Xikar if you'd prefer.
I'm writing to you with concern about the "sword" you acquired during your....."stay" with Verdona. The sword is actually nothing more than a blank sword that Verdona had stolen and put her own edge to it. The precise metal composition is a bit of a mystery to me. In any case I've located the Swordsmith of the weapon in question; his name is Madarame no other name on record. His location is vague however all I was able to determine is that he lives somewhere deep in the Durem Mountain range. If you're lucky maybe you can find a village with more information. Until next time.
-Desmond
The letter finished off with a fancy signature spelling out Desmond's name. There was no return address. Turning back to the sword which he placed on his mantle he gave a small grin. At least he had something to do now.
