Deleon Edelweiss
Deleon Edelweiss is a young Caucasian-looking man of medium build. His hair is so dark it's almost black, and is usually untidy in a 'I just woke up, and I don't give a s**t' kind of way. This is usually because he really doesn't care what his hair looks like. He has a thin nose, a strong jawline, and intense yellow eyes.
He tends towards dark clothing, either dark grey or black, and usually wears a fang-shaped silver pendent on a black leather thong around his neck.
Weapons: One crystal longsword, formed from a large quantity of the fine powder obtained from a near-indestructible crystal reef off the shore near his home town. The crystal is light, never loses it's razor-sharp edge, has the same melting point as glass, and tends to shatter into fine powder at certain high-pitched frequencies. It rings like a bell when struck with enough force.
Armour: none.
Belongings: One canvas sailbag containing two changes of clothes, heart, liver, kidneys and four steaks of venison, carefully wrapped in waxed paper and fastened with string, and a leather bag containing coins of varying denominations (adding up to roughly 250 Gaia gold, at current exchange rates).
Hidden somewhere on his person is another leather bag, containing the same amount as the pouch in his canvas bag.

Magic Type: Shadow.
Powers:
Wolfshape (at-will): Deleon transforms into a large, black-furred wolf. All of his equipment, clothing and armour merges into this form, and he gains all of the natural abilities of a wolf, an increase in both agility and footspeed, and the ability to talk with animals. He loses the ability to talk with humans and humanoid creatures, instead having to rely on bodlanguage. While the transformational process itself is magical in nature, once he is fully transformed it is impossible to force Deleon to transform back to human with 'dispel', or any other ability which nullifies magical effects.
While in wolfshape, Deleon still understands all the languages he knows while human.
Humanshape (while transformed): Deleon transforms into his human form. All equipment that merged with his wolfshape once more separates from him and becomes functional. If he is polymorphed, this ability transforms him back to his human form. In this case, any equipment merged with his form is lost.
Twilit Transfer: Only possible at Dawn and Dusk, under normal circumstances. Deleon can transport himself (and up to two others) into a realm of permanent twilight. Deleon himself is forced into his wolf form in this world, while the people he transports become little more than ghosts. The risk in this place is great; Shadow Beasts prey on the unwary, and if Deleon's 'guests' lose hold of him for even an instant while they are in this twilight realm, they may become lost in shadow forever.
Notes: Deleon comes from a people who specialise in Shadow Magic. This magic is drawn from a shadowy netherworld that is permanently draped in twilight, and populated by vicious creatures they call Shadow Beasts. Members of Deleon's people who travel to this place immediately switch to their Shadow form, which is that of an unnaturally large wolf. After some time, it became possible for Deleon's people to draw power directly from this place, without crossing the boundary into twilight, and transform to their Shadow form at will.
Very few members of Deleon's people become full-time magic users; doing so means permanently giving up their human form in order to gain full access to the powers of Shadow.
