Gallery Room 2: Egyptian Emissary
This room is dedicated to the redheaded Emissary, one of the
first 'characters' my avi took on. She was --and continues to be--
one of my favorite characters, even though I never did much
with her.
While her personality never became overly developed, she has a somewhat-complex back-story:
She was a normal girl until she found the legendary Staff of Anubis.
Instead of taking it to a museum (the right thing to do), she promptly attempted to sell
it on eBay. Turns out the ancient Egyptian gods don't like that. She was
almost immediately cursed, and found herself seeing the Gods on
a regular basis. She lost her eye to emulate Horus, but it's not
really lost... it just allows her to see the monstrous creature
that eats the souls of the damned. She doesn't like that, so
she keeps it covered. These days, the Emissary does the
bidding of dying gods, who are struggling for power so they
can survive. This is a more annoying task than one would think.
After all, there's nothing more persnickety than a bunch of displaced gods.
