Angel of Curiosity
Sofiel was there when Adam and Eve were created, like many other angels. She visited the garden and ever watched the little humans explore. Eve was just so pretty, she took a special liking to her, unfortunately though...having the Angel of Curiosity near began to influence this new being...Eve began to experience curiosity...and as it turned out, it was the initial push she needed to accept the forbidden fruit. Sofiel's superiors were furious, after that many of her duties were taken away, she wasn't trusted to accomplish much and that left quite a but of time on her hands.
Again her eyes drifted toward earth and the humans, she was very curious about them, always peering down to watch her fathers creations go about their short lives. She wanted to go see them and it wasn't long until she approached one, a handsome man by the name of Lucian. He had been able to hear her true voice, and see her angelic form. This was a first for the angel, she came to him often and eventually took human vessel in an attempt to understand him further. Though human emotions were too new to her to truly understand she developed a kind of attraction to him, and he had fallen deeply in love with her. The two had a child together. A Nephilm she named Liwet, she felt true love for this child. He wasn't the only of his kind though, other angels had made their way to earth and consorted with humans, Nephilm had begun to grow in numbers in those years...but it was something Heaven despised. The higher ups had decided that all Nephilm were abominations and eventually ruled to have them wiped out. The genocide of the halflings happened swift and cruel. All angels were called back to heaven while a garrison of loyal soldier were set out to dispatch them. By the time any of them knew something was up it was too late.
She returned to Earth to find both Liwet and Lucian butchered, it seemed the human had done all he could to protect their child and was killed in the crossfire. In her grief she let out a cry so powerful it caused the volcano near by to erupt and desolate the entire city Lucian had lived in.
Sofiel was dragged back to Heaven after that, they tired in vain to retrain her but she never allowed them to manipulate her again. She holds a great distrust of any of the Archangels aside from Gabriel who had already left Heaven when they had taken over, and Cassiel the Archangel who raised her. She spent her time then far from humans and isolating herself from her brothers and sisters.
One day though a prayer rang in her head clear as a bell, she was confused never having heard something like it before, she quickly went to Cassiel and asked what it was. As it turned out, it was Sofiels true vessel, the human who's body could house the entirety of her angelic form and allow her to wander the earth freely with all powers intact. An angel and their true Vessel have a strong connection, so when Juliet prayed with all her heart Sofiel was the one to hear her. She went to the girl to see what it was she yearned for to find Juliets sister was terminally ill and wished for a cure. With an idea in mind the angel whispered to her vessel and offered her the answer the her prayer if she would do something for Sofiel, become her vessel for as long as the angel wished. The desperate human accepted without a thought and Sofiel took her. She healed the girls sister as was part of their bargain and vanished, leaving Heaven and all those she mistrusted to hide away on Earth where she'd once felt the true love of motherhood.
The Vessel
Juliet and her sister Sonnet were very close growing up, when they found out Sonnet was sick...Juliet became even more protective of her younger sister, everything was about making sure Sonnet was happy, always knowing in the back of her mind that some day, her illness would win out.
When if finally happened though, no one was ready for it. And Juliet sure as hell wasn't going to lose her sister. She would have done anything but as it happened all she had to do was pray.
An angel was listening, Sofiel, the angel of Curiosity. She gave Juliet a choice, she would heal Sonnet to perfect health if Juliet agreed to be her vessel for as long as she wished it.
Of course, without a second thought Juliet agreed. By the time Sonnet woke up, Juliet was gone.
