So, I found something out today. For a long while, my brother has been openly gay. It doesn't bug me, so don't think think that this is going to be an entry about how I'm homophobic and whatnot. But, he's kind of started seeing someone. I mean, they aren't dating or anything. But, they have gone on a few dates and I think my brother really is starting to like this guy. He's fairly picky, I think. So it takes a lot for him to accept someone and actually begin to get to the point to where he would date a guy if he was asked.

But, tonight my mom went to school and she told her friend about my brother finding a guy. Let me fill you in a little bit. Her school friend is also gay and from what my mom has told me, he is a 'player' of some sort. So, I guess you can imagine the shock when he told my mom that he knew the guy. And although he wasn't a bad guy, apparently he wasn't a good one, either.

So, from what I was told (through my moms knowledge of the situation) the guy had asked my moms friend for money, and when he was turned down he vanished. My moms friend and this guy had been seeing each other. Kind of like a friends with benefits type of thing. I was incredibly hard to hear about this because I do not want to get a phone call or a text message and see my brother hurt.

I don't know if I should tell him to be careful or if I should just let my brother do his thing. He's twenty three, old enough to make his own choices and decisions. But, being his sister, I want to protect him from anything that I can, like he did for me all of the years that I was growing up.

I'm facing a dilemma now. I'm worrying about my brother. I want to tell him to be careful and to take things slow but I'm rather scared that it will cause drama and I don't want to stress him out. I just want to see my brother be happy. So, I'm kind of at a crossroads with this one.
