Outbreak ver.2.0
A/N: WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!! Finally!! I got this story up, and that in itself is an accomplishment for me, because I am such a slow and horrible typist!>.< Why version 2.0 you say? Because the first one I wrote sucked major egg and all the vampires were like girly slut people from the dark abyss. I read it through once and it was HORRIBLE!!!! It was all like ‘Hey, I’m sad. Let’s have sex servant man!’ *BLAM! BLAM! BLAM!* then everyone gets depressed and dies!!...HORRIBLE!!! Just…HORRIBLE!! With this version, I shall correct that mistake. Get ready for a real emotional trip, guys!
‘Where there is light, there is always the darkness.’
Tamashii, one of the many cities located on the great landmass known as Harashisu, the main island of the Tenashii Islands, and home to some of the most mysterious entities…
Prologue
From the darkest parts of the alleys, another scream could be heard, echoing through the midnight sky. A young girl ran for her life as a pack of ravenous wolf hybrids trailed behind her in hot pursuit. She ducked behind various corners in hopes of trying to evade her pursuers, but she couldn’t seem to shake them. The young girl ran for as long as she could, but soon her legs gave out and she collapsed onto the ground. Having fallen, the wolves soon caught up with her and started to circle around her.
“Well, boys, it looks like we’ll be having ourselves a meal tonight,” one bellowed as he nipped at the girl’s tail.
The others laughed as they heard the girl screech out in fear and started to bat her with their paws. They didn’t notice the two, shadowy figures making their way towards them. The sound of loud footsteps brought them to their attention. Their leader turned to face the two and growled lowly at them.
“Do you want to end up as dinner also?!”
“We weren’t planning on it,” one of them said.
“Then get out of our territory!!” the leader warned as he went about his business.
“Why are you picking on that poor, little girl?”
“I said…GET OUT OF HERE!!” The leader then turned to lunge at the two trespassers. He yelped in surprise when he found himself at the receiving end of a rather large pistol. The other wolves growled lowly in their threats as they glared at the two intruders, ready to pounce, but their boss motioned for them to stand down.
“I’ll ask you again…Why are you picking on that little girl?” the person asked calmly.
“My pack and I were hungry, and this brat just so happened to waltz into our territory around that time, so we decided to make a meal out of her,” he growled out.
“Why would wolves your sizes choose to dine on a pup too small to fill even one of your bellies?”
“Maybe we just wanted to hear her scream while we tore her limb from limb!” one of the wolves blurted out. Before any of them could react, the wolf’s head was blown from his body by the stranger’s gun, its brains and blood raining down on the others. The wolves, in a rage, raced toward the two intruders with intent to kill. They were either killed by the first one’s gun or brutally torn to pieces by the strength of the other’s. Their wolf leader watched on in horror as his entire pack was decimated right before his eyes. The one with the pistol slowly turned towards him as a sadistic grin played across his face, his entire body bathed in the blood of his followers.
“You…you, STAY AWAY FROM ME!!” he yelled as the being advanced upon him, his eyes glowing a crimson red as he cocked his gun, aiming it for his head.
“What’s the matter, Wolf Boy? I thought you wanted to have some fun,” he whispered snidely as he pressed the gun’s muzzle onto his temple. “My friend and I were just about to play ‘blow-the-head-off-the-wolf man,’ and we needed a third player. Care to join us?”
“Please!! I promise I won’t go after kids anymore! Just…please let me go!!” the wolf pleaded.
“…Alright. If you don’t wanna play, you don’t have to. You can go home for all I care,’ the stranger said as he lowered his weapon.
“Are…are you serious?! I’m free to go?!”
The stranger only had to nod his head once as the wolf sprinted off past him towards the opening of the alley. Before he could turn the corner, his body collapsed onto the ground, a gaping hole through his back. The little girl was curled up into a corner, trying to avoid being seen as both persons made their way towards her.
“Hey, stop shivering little one. We’re not going to hurt you,” one of them assured. The small pup hesitantly uncurled herself as she warily looked upon her rescuers. Her eyes went wide with shock as she took on their appearances. Despite the fact that they were both covered in blood, she found then to be two of the most beautiful people she’d ever laid her eyes upon. The shorter of the two had spiked, platinum blonde hair with black tips that shined in the moonlight, topped with a pair of gold-colored goggles. His eyes were colored a warm grey and his lips were painted the color of a moonless night. Both ears were adorned with various jewels and his skin was the pale color of a porcelain doll, sharply contrasting with the pitch black trench coat he wore. The taller one had tanned skin and wore a black and gold garment similar to that of a kimono. He had knee length, onyx hair with long bangs obscuring the view of his eyes. Small, delicately curved horns could be seen protruding from his head as he turned his head slightly towards her.
“…WOW! You guys sure are pretty,” she exclaimed with awe as she moved to stand up. Both lightly chuckled as the shorter one bent down to get a better view of her.
“Say, do you think you could tell me your name?”
“I won’t tell until you tell me your names,” the pup said shyly as she fiddled with her tail.
“Well, my name’s Julius Von Myo, and my friend here is Shiroden. Now, what’s your name?”
“My name’s Chinchilla.”
“Alright Chinny, it’s nice to meet you. Now, can you tell us where you live so we can take you home?” The little pup’s ears drooped as she shook her head.
“I don’t have a home to go to,” she said sadly.
“What about your parents? Where are they?” Julius asked.
“I never had no parents. I’ve lived on my own all my life,” she replied as she started to cry.
“Hey, stop that! I hate it when little kids cry. Look…if I said that you could come live with me and Shiroden, would you stop with tha tears?”
“You serious?! I can stay with you guys?!”
‘Sure, whatever, just stop the water works,” Shiroden agreed as he cast her a smile. “Julius, we’d better get going. We need to get cleaned up before this blood starts to cake in our hair.”
“Alright already, Shiro,” he huffed out as he reached to pick up Chinchilla. “Come on, little one, it’s time to go home.”
“Yay! I get a new house, and a new daddy!”
“…Whatever.”
