I have found a Gaian mother and yet another sister so I should thank Porcelain and Sudden for contributing to my now very full family of girls ~ we are obviously very independent women 3nodding
Today I will expound on my adventures of skydiving
You never truly know what falling feels like until your plummeting to the earth on the thin line of hope you'll be saved by your parachute, but there is nothing more thrilling than peering out that door and anticipating the drop.
I think the most frightening position one can be in is indeed the unknown. I have had a surgery before, which I will explain later in future diary entries, and I've also had piercings which are both completely engulfed in the unknown, but falling from a certain height has your blood pumping like none other.
You're suited up, sit to wait and upon arrival of your aircraft you hop on and wait anxiously for the correct altitude in which you'll descend. The waiting in the plane was not as terrifying as I had thought and since I'm very afraid of heights it had me wondering for a brief moment why I was not as engulfed in fear. It all spiraled, however, when they opened the door and we moved to the edge. At the correct altitude at last I looked out among the terrain and felt so at peace as we fell (tandem of course, I should mention).
I had never felt a rush of energy like I had that day. It was most exhilarating and exciting and I would pursue the opportunity again if given the chance.
My point made is that you should never fear the unknown. Just think of how many people go through tandems everyday or fly somewhere new and exotic. Indeed, you are among the several who have concurred yet another bucket list item biggrin
