Stuck in mobile hell
Was at A Kon for the first time last week, and it's great to meet with our devoted Gaians. Look forward to meeting everyone again next year. Also took the chance to have wonderful Texas BBQ, and had the most amazing fatty beef ribs. Still dreaming about it.
Could only hang out in Texas for Friday, for Saturday was time to hang out with Swarf. He is moving down to Irvine to work on a new MMO game, so I got to treat him for the help he provided in reviving zOMG. Good luck to you, Swarf!
The old android app suddenly left the Google Play store. Turns out the old app happen to have some built in app serving library that violated Google's TOS, even though we didn't use it. I didn't want to spend the time fixing the old app, for we'll have a new app pretty soon, but not having an app is just not a good thing. So the past 3 days was a living hell trying to update the ancient app to work with the new development framework. Can't wait for the new app to be finished!
Have to jump back to helping out Codemonkey on the backend side of the new mobile app. Meanwhile, I'm still trying to line up resources to bring together some new event or quests for zOMG. More details later.
