More work with Platinum It's been over two months since the release of the Platinum system, and it's time to monitor the payout and fix any remaining bugs. The first big problem to tackle was Booty Grab. It was tough to debug since booty grab doesn't happen all the time, and the logic is very complex which made it very hard for us to force certain tanks to glow at will. On top of that, it's a flash game which makes debugging information harder to obtain. Debugging this problem alone took 2 days... gonk While the bug is fixed, I also got to monitor the current gold payout and noticed something that's not right. Platinum granting seemed to be decreasing rather than increasing in accordance to market inflation. Some debugging revealed that the granting system had some bad math in it which affected the conversion between gold to platinum granting. We'll keep spending time monitoring the system, and meanwhile, the Halloween event is getting closer to testing. We made a new forum game this time around. Hope you'll like it!

So I have a question for you out of curiosity.
Is html easier to work with than flash? I am a technical moron and have no idea. Does not stop me from getting curious about things.

FYI, in case you didn't know, the green room maze in DMS is broken now (won't load) and when in the yellow maze it says "under the mountain" (instead of deadman's shadow). That is what the area was called during the '09 Halloween event, and before DMS was released. If you have been working on re-releasing the old '09 Halloween event it appears to have majorly messed up the current DMS area.

Well, it's not like the Platinum's perfect when it's first introduced. You have finally noticed the first problems, so it's your first step towards improving it.

Did you intentionally nerf the zOMG daily chance with this update? I'm hoping this is an error which you will be able to correct:

Prior to the update, I earned ~600 plat per day collecting the zOMG daily chances. After the update, I'm only getting 8 plat. eek That's a HUGE difference.

Please fix this if it was unintentional. If it was on purpose... crying

Thank you for giving some much needed attention to Booty Grab. I like that the payout is for the grabber who works for it, not just the big tank owners. No more just sitting with a tank, thinking you will get rich! People actually have to play the game. Thank you Lanzer! heart
I hope this helps revive the Aquarium Community after many years of neglect to the game. While there will always be negative Nellie's who are never happy, I think you did great! emotion_hug

A little side note..... the Overseer is not granting any better than it did. But hey.... one out of two is still good. lol

while you're monitoring the system please look if one hitting the cap from the daily freebies on the main site (daily carts and daily treats TV) is also triggering the zOMG cap to hit, because in the last 2 days getting around 600p from daily chance is making all my grants on zOMG, either from killing monsters or by opening crates and chests being 1p, while my crewmates are getting 5p per monster and 90p+ from chests.

doesn't seem fair or right to being penalized by getting lucky with daily carts grants

fallensinner1.... lost 2 trill today from zomg ...played most the day was left with 2 bill big difference you shouldnt take the gold from people who already earned it ...in that glitch gold was lost enough to make a person CRY give a reward then take it way not kool hope u fix that please

Sorry this is not related-

But Halloween Event is IMPOSSIBLE to reach to level 10 for that achievement.

I have been playing hours and hours and still stuck on level 6.

I got a job- full time. I cant just call in sick to try and catch up all week.

Please- adjust the attack points at least.

Not just 5point per heal, 0 per attack, so little for a kill.

For tens thousands per level.
