Yep yep, I have summer homework. Eww! I cna't believe I didn't write about it before. but, here's the scoop.
1. Read the autobiograph Dove. THen pick a place or event nad write a two page essay on it using three sources. The first two weeks of school, we will be presenting these as aspeeches to teh rest of the class. Due June 21st.
2. Read the play Our Town. Write an 8-10 page play about your own town or friends, even the class. Explore the chracters nad how they grow in your play. Due July 5th.
3. Read Death of a Salesmen. Go to the website given and choose 19 essay questions to complete. Write in full sentences and prove your answers. Due July 17th.
4. Read The Posionwood Bible. For each five sections, do a split journal. ONe half the page will be a summary of what you have just read and the other half can be a free write on it. Perhaps continuation of a scene, thoughts, crticism or praise of teh author's work. This is due the first day of school.
Disgusting, isn't it? I've gotta fill out 2 more question for Death of a Salesmen and then email it to my teacher. THen I get to start Posionwood.
I guess it's worth it though, all the work. If we do all this and complete the side assignments he gives us over hte school year, we get the college credit for Freshmen College English. So that gives us more room to take other things..
So it's wroth it, but a real pain in the a**.
