Game Title: Framed Collection
Platform: Steam (Deck)
What is it about?: Swap panels in a comic to change the outcome of events in this puzzler.
What did I think: Honestly, I really like the idea and the execution of the idea. The puzzles at this stage aren’t difficult, but I like that it’s not always straight-forward either. Definitely encourages some experimentation to see how the story plays out.
Would I continue playing?: Yes

Game Title: Super Time Force Ultra
Platform: Steam (Deck)
What is it about?: A run and gun sidescroller about a rag tag group of cool time travelers fighting to change a boring apocalyptic future into a totally radical one.
What did I think: The time looping aspect of the game is extremely slick, as it records your movements until you die (or run out of time), lets you go back in time in that level and either pick a new character or the same one, and then play alongside yourself. If you manage to save yourself from dying, the old you turns into a powerup for the current you, augmenting how you shoot. Each of the characters are simple, but unique enough in utility to make playing with the different combinations fun, and failure just another opportunity.

Game Title: The Void Rains Upon Her Heart
Platform: Steam (Deck)
What is it about?: A Boss rush Bullet Hell with rouge-like elements. Minor NSFW elements, but there’s an option to cover up before the game starts.
What did I think: I wasn’t entirely sure what to think when I initially started, but it’s actually a pretty slick bullet-hell where your perimeters can be upgraded based on the bosses you beat. Furthermore, bosses at different difficulties act differently and grant different upgrades, so no two runs are the same.
Would I continue playing?: Very yes

Game Title: Lovers in a Dangerous SpaceTime
Platform: Steam (Deck)
What is it about?: You and a crew of up to 4 work together to navigate through space, destroy enemies, save space bunnies, and save the galaxy. This game is designed for multiplayer play, but it also has a solo mode for you and your space cat.
What did I think: I actually really enjoyed this one. It’s easy to direct your space cat to a station, while you handle another station. Space battles feel hectic, but fair, and the ability to upgrade the stations to perform different kinds of actions (whether it’s more powerful, drops spike mines, shoots concentrated blasts, or more). Definitely would be fun to play with a group, or just by yourself.
Would I continue playing?: Yes

Game Title: Think of the Children!
Platform: Steam (Deck)
What is it about?: A multiplayer game about parenting children, and keeping them from making really stupid decisions during various kinds of family outings (a birthday party, a day at the beach, ect).
What did I think: This is very much designed to be played with friends, so playing the game alone is… tough, as it’s managing 6 children and trying to keep them from offing themselves, while performing other tasks related to the location too is a trial in patience, strategy, and efficiency. By the time the timer ran out on a couple levels, a good portion of my charges would be dead, grandpa would be on fire, and the burgers would be burnt, and then I would have to replay the level, cause my score wasn’t high enough to proceed to the next.
Would I continue playing?: No, unless with friends. Then yes.
