Subject: Understanding the human emotion of love.
The professor has tried explaining to me the human emotion of love as a strong attraction to another being. However, she said there are several variations of this emotion love. The professor tells me that some loves are stronger than others, such as the comparison of love between friends and the love between spouses. Friends love each other in the sense that they greatly enjoy each other's company and spending time with each other, while spouses not only enjoy the other's presence but wish to even live with one another. This love eventually leads to the bearing of children, growing old together and eventually dying together.
I seem to have experienced this attraction of love. I enjoy the presence of one human named Errik and so he seemed to share an equal attraction as well. I told the professor of this love and how my units reacted to his company, yet she told me that I must be malfunctioning for I should not feel such love. She said that since I am not human that it is wrong for me.
But I don't understand what she means.
