Here's an Indian name poem that I have to turn in to my English teacher on Tuesday (I think).
Tell me what you think.
Fleeting Nightingale
A girl was taken off of her swing
and was sent
to search for herself in the forest.
The trees were small at first
and she climbed them with ease
until she saw the largest tree
in her journey so far.
Before she began, she met a Great Deer
and it hind-kicked her in the chest
having her land on top of the tree.
She couldn't move from the shock,
so she stared at the sky
and the birds that flew past her.
The Girl wished she could fly with them
as her thoughts chased after the birds
when dusk turned to night,
so she began to sing
to accompany her soaring thoughts
as they brought the Girl to her feet again.

"Doubt and Discouragement are her regular companions..."
A daily reflection of life. Hopefully, I will get better as a true writer and person. In other words, my self-therapy. Care to join me?
