**Spoilers for the Soul Society arc of Bleach ahoy! More Shinigami Ne-chan. Please check out Shinigami Aa-kun as well.(His starts 09/05/06)**
I went on my first mission concerning Hollows yesterday! Since I was new to the squad, fifth seat, Ayasegawa Yumichika-senpai, came with me to make sure I didn’t die. Remember, I am new to fighting Hollows. Soon enough, I'll be on Hollow missions by myself. It's weird how there's a captain, vice-captain, third seat, and fifth seat. No fourth seat...
A little about Ayasegawa-senpai before I continue, he's very... Interesting. He's so stuck on himself being beautiful, I find just plain amusing to listen to him. However, he is actually attractive, though when I first saw the feather-thingies coming from his eyebrow and his eyelashes, I was like 'What the crap?'... I haven't found the nerve to ask about them though. I don't really know him that well. I don't think he's the kind that takes well to criticism. At least mine, I'm not one that really gives much thought to beauty. I spend more time fighting. I like letting Ayasegawa-senpai go off on a tangent, I'm waiting to see how narcissistic he can get. Once I get to know him more, I'll start popping his bubble. Or not. We'll see.
Anyway, on to fighting the Hollow. Or just plain finding it. I'm guessing I should be happy that Zaraki-taicho and Kusajishi-fukutaicho weren't with us. According to my informants, not saying who, both have a hopeless sense of direction. It took a little while to find the Hollow, but once we did, it was almost cake from there. Since my zanpaku-to is a wakizashi, I really have to get up close and personal with Hollows. It's a little more difficult, but I like my zanpaku-to. Anyway, fighting the Hollow was pretty easy, though the Hollow dodged my first attack and then hit me in the back, causing me to fly a little. As they say, the third time's the charm. I got the pesky Hollow right in the face. 'Course, that is how you usually get rid of Hollows, but that's beside the point. The point is, I got it and Ayasegawa-senpai didn't even have to step in. Yes, I am just that good.
The way back, I asked Ayasegawa-senpai to explain some of what happened with the ryoka. He did, giving me beautiful details about how things happened. Seriously, Ayasegawa-senpai. Anyway, he told me that there were five ryoka in total and the leader beat Zaraki-taicho. My eyes must have given away my surprised because then he backed himself up. He explained that fifth squad captain, Aizen Sousuke, betrayed the Gotei 13, along with third squad captain, Ichimaru Gin, and ninth squad captain, Tosen Kaname. Aizen had everyone fooled and even planned the intrusion of the ryoka. No one saw it coming. Apparently, Aizen had been a nice guy, gentle too, but in reality was manipulative and evil. He even faked his own death. I don't know of anyone that good. Tosen's betrayal was unexpected too. Apparently, Tosen liked justice, but he betrayed the 13 for something else. His own sense of justice. The ryoka were pretty friendly and the one that fought Zaraki-taicho was even made an official shinigami of some sort.
When we finally came back, we got a little surprise. There was a pile of our fellow squad members beaten to a pulp. 'What's going on?' were Ayasegawa's words. 'Ah, Aa-kun's here.' was what I told him. 'Aa-kun?' Since Ayasegawa-senpai didn't know my friend, I explained to him who Aa-kun was. Aa-kun was a good friend of mine while we were in the Rukongai and we went to the Shinigami Academy together. Recently I introduced him to Kusajishi-fukutaicho and she gave him a nickname that didn't really have anything to do with his actual name, but that's just how she is. Ayasegawa-senpai responded rather well until I told him Aa-kun was put in fourth squad under Unohana Retsu-taicho. He was pretty surprised a member from fourth squad did this. It was probably 'Psy', Aa-kun's other self, I stayed quiet about it though.
I seperated from Ayasegawa-senpai and caught up on times with Aa-kun. Apparently, Kurotsuchi Mayuri-taicho of the twelveth squad has taken in interest in Aa-kun. I'm come across Kurotsuchi-taicho before and he gave me the shivers. I wouldn't give anything to be in Aa-kun's shoes. He enjoys it in fourth squad, which is good. He isn't that much of a fighter anyway, that's 'Psy', although he is trying to get Unohana-taicho to let him fight Hollows. At which point, I exuberantly explained how I recently defeated the Hollow. It was fun talking to Aa-kun, it's also fun to watch my other squad members make fools of themselves. I make some fun, and so does Kusajishi-fukutaicho. She definitely makes the eleventh squad interesting to be a part of.
I must go, for I am greatly tired. Bye-bye.
**No new vocabulary, I get off. Woot!**
