I know so many people with whom I have shared discussions of philosophy and religion, but have lost their firendship in the exchange. It makes me wonder whether it's worth the heartache to continue a debate with a guy that I might like, should we have met on different circumstances. I've done this so many times, that it literally hurts. Things like this really cause problems especially when one lives in a small town of athletes rather than thinkers.
I wish the best to the person I speak of in the above paragraph. If he reads this, he'll know it's him.
If you want to know what I base my life on, check out such authors as T.A. Barron (www.tabarron.com), Madeline L'Engle (www.madeleinelengle.com), and Eoin Colfer (www.eoincolfer.com). They wrote such books that kept me (and continue to keep me) enthralled with the simplicity and innocence that deals with reality. Other things that would help would be Unabridged Christianity and the series Gundam Wing. Cardcaptor Sakura and Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle are probably the most prominent on my stand of when violence is neccesarry. Ruroni Kenshin gave me a reason to believe that there is good in every human being. So much to know and do, so I'll say, "Oyasuminasai" and leave it at that.
