Yet another depressing poem... I am a happy individual who enjoys writing depressing poems.... i know its kinda weird, but hang with me.

Reunited

Iv'e tried to tape my broken heart,
Time and time again,
I can't accept the fact that were so far apart,
Thoughts of suicide rush through my head.

I have hope that you'll come home from war,
But I'm not so sure you're still alive,
They tell me you're all right,
But I haven't heard from you in weeks,
The pain I feel, leaks from my soul,
I weep out of pity, I sit in the cold,
And wait.

A knock on the door sounds through hallway,
I leap up in a hurry,
I open the door and see a strange man,
I stare at him and him at me,
My eyes echo in his sorrowful glare,
He hands me a ribbon and walks away,
You have died,
You are recognized,
You are no longer in my life.

I slump back on the couch,
I bury my face in my palms,
Thoughts of you are all around me,
My end is yet to come.

Iv'e tried to tape my broken heart,

...Why not make my thoughts reality?

I rush in the kitchen and pick up a knife,
I see my reflection in it's blade,
With one last breath,
I plea my last plea,
I shed my last tear,
I heave my last sigh,
And I drive the knife into my ribs.

Further.
Further.
Further.

I have died.
Fear not, my love, I shall see you soon.
If in life we have been seperated,
Then in death we shall be reunited.

Forever.
