My prices -
Brown/Black - Only bought as a courtesy, because everyone has these.
Yellow - 10g each
Green - 15g each
Red/Blue - 20g each
Orange/Purple - 200g
Gold/White/Pink - 300g each
Cost of production - (lolololIsoundallserious)
Orange Ink - Takes 5 red and 5 yellow - cost to make: 150g
Purple Ink - Takes 5 red and 5 blue - cost to make: 200g
White Ink - Takes 5 red and 5 blue and 5 green - cost to make: 275g
Gold Ink - Takes 1 white and 1 yellow - cost to make: 285g
Pink Ink - Takes 1 white and 5 red - cost to make: 375g
Now to factor in the raw purchase costs of bugs.
I offer 1g per red/blue bug. Why?
Because I like the idea of squishing my own bugs, and red/blue are what I need the most of, as just about every recipe requires a sickening amount of red.
So we have each ink costing 50g in bug purchases.
Not very cost effective, but there's cost effectiveness and there's satisfaction.
Weigh it out, I still come up ahead in happiness.
Buying bugs = win.
That's a financial equation I can live with.
