Hello, good people!

I know I said I'd update when I was settled in, but knowing me, and the only recent availability of a computer with a decent rate of speed available to me long enough to make an entry, it's taken considerable time.

Much much new things going on in the world of me! First off, I made it down to Texas safely enough, and helped Brandi's folks get moved out of their old house, and clean it up for the potential buyers. Lived with her, her parents, and her grandma for a few months, while her folks' house was busy taking an eternity to sell. Once it did, then the arduous process of them getting a new home dragged on.

Finally, we've been in the new house for a few weeks now, and things are a lot nicer now that we're not all cooped up in a teeny-tiny house. From there, plans have shifted from getting settled and such... to planning our wedding. That's right folks, Brandi and I are getting married! We're rapidly approaching our date too, but almost everything is finished being taken care of. Hopefully, I'll get some nice photos from someone and I can post them up...

Much has been going on, with on the spot decisions and such being made frequently because of time and funding constraints, but dammit everythings falling into place and the wedding shall be a wonderous event, even if it is a small one!

My dad and bro Gav are driving/flying in (on a ridiculous little trip my dad planned... would've been better if they just flew but oh well.), but sadly my mom and my older bro Ted couldn't come... Ted because he can't get time off from work for it (because he had already taken some time off for a little side job), and Mom because she lacks the proper documentation to be able to legally travel outside of Canada. We would've postponed things until she could, but my own legality in the United States hinges on us getting married soon... very soon.

My friend Kevin and his wife Debe will also be making the long road trip from Calgary down here to attend, and Kev says he's bringing his video camera XD so hurrah! The video should prove both magical and amusing, with Kevin at the helm. After the wedding, which we're holding here at the house, we'll have the reception dinner at a local restaurant, and then onwards to the hotel for the wedding night ;D

Here's the kicker though: My Dad and Brandi's Parents have been conspiring to send us off on some kind of surprise honeymoon. Brandi and I have our suspicions, and we're pretty sure we're right (although I won't say where), based on several subtle hints, but we won't know where we're going until the reception dinner. That should be fun lol so after the wedding night, we go to Amarillo, spend a day there in a hotel, and then the next morning (reeeeeeeeeeeally early, to boot), we board a plane to a mysterious and exciting destination! Should be fun, and I'll likely be allowed to bring Brandi's Dad's camera with me (since my own camera was brutally damaged by brainless Otafest Baggage Handlers [I still haven't recieved my reimbursment, you nutsacks!]). Hopefully, I'll get some good pics and I'll be able to post them up for you all!

^^ So, for the enlightenment of those interested, the wedding is this upcoming Saturday, October 28th. And much fun shall be had by all. More updates when I return from the honeymoon. Until then...
