What I have to say and lots of it (^_^)
wow...
you see I've been learning Japanese for some time now and it just occured to me that names should probably be translated from their own language before being translated into another language. You see my name, Sarah, translated into it's origional roots of Hebrew, means princess. That then translated into Japanese becomes, Hime or Hitomi, depending on how exact you translate it. Now my name translated to directly into Japanese, Sara, means plate. (to translate your name, you have to write the syylables in Katakana form. Katakana is the alphabet that Japanese people use to spell foreign words. It's just much easier to find a translation if you take the time to turn each of your "American" names into Katakana syllables. Ex: Sarah- becomes Sara because if you added the H it would have to become, Sarahu. The U on the end is usually silent)
hmmm. I think im going to start putting up a "japanese phrase of the day" Jus because I'm bored and the best way to learn is to teach.

Phrase: My Name Is Sarah (i'm just going to put Sarah where You should put your own name)

Watashiwa Sarah Desu.

Wata- Shi- Wuh (The wuh is more like just blowing air out of your mouth than actually speaking a word. it should be where you can hear the "wuh" but don't put any excess stress or very little stress at all on this syllable.

Desu- Des (the U is silent)

rofl rofl rofl rofl thanx for reading my journal (^_^)
