I would just like to make you aware that this site is nicely built, has a great interface, and a solid idea behind it. However, I would also like to state that the moderators and administrators for it are trannical dictators that have no diginity and/or sense of propriety.
I would like to point out the user agreement. It's never upheld unless it is easier and/or profitable for the site's 'growth.' There is a rule that states there is a PG-13 limitation on what may and may not be spoken about in these forums. There's a rule against harrassment and flaming/trolling, too.
These rules are only uphelp 1/10 of the time they should be. A 13 year old girl comes to this site, and is sexually prowled by person after person after person...so what do the admins do? They ban her. Just because it'd be easier to ban her, rather than all the predators.
The balance on this site has completely gone out of control. The site is a FORUM site, meaning things are meant to be discussed here. However, no discussions are being held for the sake of actually discussing, but for the sake of getting gold. Which was just supposed to be an alternate extra to having an avatar.
I would also like to point out that this site wastes tons of space that could be used for BETTER THINGS. I mean, the staff actually supports pointless threads and posts.
What's even more irritating about you people, is that once you think you're 'cool' on Gaia, you're 'cool' everywhere. You think it's okay to make pointless threads on other sites that actually uphold the rules, and have a sense of purpose and/or point to them.
Example? I am part of a forum that does generally everything. Someone from GAIA comes in and posts in the 'Creative Writing' section,
THREAD: Creative Writing (for poems, fanfiction, ect.)
TOPIC: hlp me plzkthx
POST: "so i got ths new game i need help so yeah pm me plzkthx"
There's countless STUPID people that use this site who do this CONSTANTLY. I've surfed these forums for a loooong time...and you know what?
You people are the most baffling herd of retards on the internet. Myspace is filled with more intelligent people. This is like a messed up form of Myspace, but dressed as a kids site, where kids are subject to listening about Beastiality, porn, killing, and bumping.
And what's with you asses and advertising everywhere? This site is famous. Or rather, infamous. You know why other people use other forums? Because even people at Renchan.org are smarter and have more of a point to every post than this idiotic 'community.'
The admins themselves flame and break the rules under fake mule accounts. Like our good ol' friend, Mirage23.
This is the worst example of a site I've ever seen. The programmers and techs have all done their jobs. However, moderators and admins are just like lazy little children.
You know why this site is never majorly hacked? Because it provides a significantly sized place for squeekers, noobs, and retards to gather. Gaiaonline is nothing but a retard corral.
It's a good thing we have a site like this. Otherwise, the rest of us would be stuck with you dumbasses in sites that are INTELLIGENT. Posting porn in the affiliates of the Overchan has more of a point than the daily s**t you idiots spew.
Flamers, trolls, noobs, closeminded...you all are the stench of the internet community. All the things that are blamed on other places, WoW, EQ2, all that s**t? No. It's YOU morons.
There you go. Discuss why you think that this whole community as a general is retarded, or why you still use this site, because I KNOW you don't use it because of the people.
