LIFE!
Gwen Renee Stefani was born on October 3, 1969 in Fullerton, California. She was named after a stewardess in the best-selling 1968 novel called “Airport”, which was the book her mother was reading during her pregnancy. Gwen’s middle name, Renee, was inspired by the song “Walk
Away Renée”, by the popular band, The Left Banke.
Her parents, Dennis and Patti, then moved them to Anaheim, California, where she would be raised. Gwen has 1 sister, Jill and 2 brothers, Eric and Todd. Her mother, Patti Flynn is of Irish and Scottish descent and her father, Dennis Stefani is Italian-American.
Gwen was married to Gavin Rossdale, who is a guitar player in the band Bush. They got married in a London church during September 14, 2002, but Gwen was an hour late to her own wedding. She wore a pink and white, silk-faille dress designed by Dior’s John Galliano. Their wedding was selected as the eight most romantic weddingy by In Touch magazine on May 29, 2006, in the Volume 5, Issue 22.
Gwen and Gavin had their first child, a son named Kingston James McGergor Rossdale, on May 26, 2006, who was born at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Kingston weighed 3.4 kilograms (7 pounds, 5 ounces) and was born by caesarean section.

Her second solo album titled, The Sweet Escape, was released on December 4, 2006 ouside of North America and on December 5, 2006 in Canada, Mexica and the United States. Helping make her second solo album, producers including Akon, Swizz Beatz, Nellee Hooper, as well as the Neptunes and Tony Kamal were involved.

Some of her musicial influences are Club Nouveau, The Cure, Anthony Kiedis, Madness, Prince, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Selecter, and The Time.
NO DOUBT!
The band, No Doubt, has been together since 1987, which was started by Eric Stefani and John Spence. The band was founded by Gwen’s older brother Eric, which had Gwen on back-up vocals and John Spence on vocals, but Gwen became the lead vocals, after December of 1987, when John commited suicide and left the band. Later on Tony, Adrian and Tom had joined.
After playing huge amounts of gigs and parties, No Doubt were signed to Interscope in 1991, but the label thought their 1992 debut album, called “No Doubt”, was a failure and refused to financially support a tour or any other recordings. The band decided to not give up. “The Beacon Street Collection” appeared in 1994, was self-financed and was doing well enough that Interscope was once again interested, but the band was going to lose Eric, Gwen’s brother since he had decided to quit to pursue his career in animation, with The Simpsons.
The apparently very popular, “Tragic Kingdom” (1995) landed on the charts, but took less than three years to make. During that time, the band had almost disbanded because of Gwen and Tony’s romantic relationship.
No Doubt made their name in 1995 with their hit album Tragic Kingdom, a mixture of rock, speedy reggae and playful pop hooks. The album also made Gwen a star. The band’s other albums recorded later on included “Return of Saturn” (2000) and “Rock Steady” (2001).
