SLOW COOKERS ARE AMAZING!
Seriously, oh my god. I can finally make rice without burning it! heart (ADD + culinary aspirations = OH ******** WHAT'S THAT SMELL)
I just made the most insanely tasty mishmash of [mostly Italian] spices and lentils/garbanzo beans/wild rice/quinoa, and left it be for like, five hours in the slow cooker. I come back, and it's like, "TADAA~!"
Mucho fabulosity and NOT. ********. BURNT. (as rice left solitary is so wont.)
I chopped up some scallions and threw them in there, and it's wonderful. n___n (-So- would have added pine nuts, but I'm out, and they're like six bucks a pound. gonk )
In conclusion, I have probably received one of the most useful Christmas presents ever, and am also now in posession of a small African country's edible salvation.
