Now I'm sure you're all tired of my excuses and reasons for not getting projects done in a timely manner, and you all have good reason for it I'm sure. Things have gone poorly for the past couple months, and have just snowballed into bigger problems. Basically, I had a huge excess of homework due to a summer class, followed by surgery, followed by catching up for the homework missed during surgery. So, I'm going to propose my solution to the problem.
Both with school and artwork, I have a tendency to try finishing things all at the same time. For example, I try to get the gaian artwork done, 400 pages of greek lit done, and 100 pages of gov/econ done, with other projects as well... in in one weekend. In that same weekend I'm recovering from surgery, and also fighting the fall flu. Looking back on that particular weekend, I realize that the task would be impossible to complete, for even a healthy person, nevermind surgery and flu. I can't just leave out a few things though.
For example, this week I had every intention of finishing the aroma sprites, a few commissions, all of my prob/stats work, all of my econ work, and all of my humanities reading. So far, I've completed nothing, but done 1/6 of the aroma sprites, 1/6 of commissions, 1/5 of prob/stats, 1/2 of econ, and 3/4 of humanities. As you can see, this "attack everything at once" plan isn't working well. I can't get all of them done physically, yet feel guilty and very stressed if I don't accomplish the impossible. The method obviously isn't working out.
So, it would seem that I need to tackle one subject at a time, which would mean about one subject to catch up on per day, as well as the current work from each class. This is quite a bit of work as it is, and will consume most of my time, with almost nothing left over. Of course, this means that Gaia will have to be at the end of my list for a few days. IF everything goes according to plan, I should have all schoolwork caught up by the end of the weekend. In this time, if I get any artwork done, consider yourself lucky, and then reproach me for not concentrating on school.
In conclusion, this is the only way that I can get caught up, by isolating all of the tasks from the overall enormous one. I thought I was doing alright until I got sick for the past few days, which is a good signal that I'm doing something wrong. If I don't alleviate the pressure, I'll just keep getting sicker and weaker. I apologize that I couldn't keep up with everything in light of surgery, and I will resume everything quickly, with Aroma Sprites being first on the list.
If any of you feel slighted, or feel you need some compensation for my untimelyness, we can negotiate a partial refund. Please PM me regarding the matter. I'll be on for limited time during the next few days.
