I think my right ankle is permenantly damaged. Or is still in the process of healing. Here's the story...if your up to reading anyways.
I'm in 10th Grade (Sophomore) and we have to do Gym. Well the teacher, Ms. Airrs (I think), is having us play volleyball. Well, at some point me and Nick get ready to spike the freakin ball. Next thing I know, I'm on the ground, ankle is on fire, and the teacher doesn't even see me! I'm literally only 10 feet away! Well I get up and walk it off. Bad idea. What I didn't realize is that I landed with my foot bending out, not in. Simply: The inner muscle of my ankle was probably shredded. A signal I ignored but now remember is a tearing pop sound. That was probably my ankle muscle.
A few hours later, my ankle is double the size of my left ankle. Not pretty. And one more mistake to top it off: I didn't put ice on it. The thing swelled for the next few days. During that time, people thought I was crippled I could barely walk and I literally could not move it.
It's been a month and a half, but my ankle still hurts every here and there. Exact same spot. Can't really run on it either without some pain during the run. I'm gonna get it checked on, along with a lead pencil mark from 4th grade that hasn't disappeared, and my right wrist which has probably been split since 8th grade. Wonderful huh?
