At Request from a friend I am putting my stories up on Gaia. This is called...well... Just look at the flipping title.
The sun was out and the sky was clear. Mara shivered at the weather for she hated it when it was so bright out. Her father called her a vampire, in a joking matter of course. Her mother was the same, but far more lazy about it. She wouldn't go outside if it were too bright or too cold.
Today was Tuesday, just a regular day, except for the account of no news on t.v. All there was was static, on every channel, which was strange cause everyone in her apartment building also had static. This wouldn't have been strange if it had been very dark out. But it was as clear as any summer should be. She really wished that it was dark out, mornings weren't her strong suit.
As she walked to school, which was three or four blocks away, she realized how the streets were so empty. There were a few people walking as she had always seen, but there were no cars. Not in any parking lot, except for the car dealerships across the street though. Mara was 15 years old and going to her High school. She had tons of friends, most of which had serious depression, which is why she is so interested in the human psyche.
When she got to school the parking lot was empty, kids were still going in, but there were no cars. The other students must have noticed this because they stopped and took a look around to see if it was actually a school day. Some of the students acted like it was an every day thing and like they didn't notice. The school had seven builings, A- which was mostly used for the art type of classes; B- Where there were mostly Science and Math classes; C- Mostly English and History classes; The cafeteria and human/ ESL classes; The Gym' which also had the Choir and Band classes along with P.E; and then the R.O.T.C building. Outside of that there was a courtyard, football field, a few basketball courts, soccer field and
two parking lots.
Mara's classes were R.O.T.C, Human Development, Honors English, Formal Geometry, Choir, and Biology. Lunch was her favorite class, right in between Geometry and Choir. She hated Math, but knew that it had to be done and that it was necessary. If she could choose her classes again she would have picked Italian and Foods. She loved the smell of C Hall after they had made something, but she had Choir which took up the entire year. Her back pack was full of all her class books so she didn't want to carry a lot, even though she had a locker and didn't want to use it.
Mara's backpack was the heaviest out of the entire group of her friends. She loved anime and art, her room was full of artwork and poems that she had either found or gotten from her friends. She had many friends:
Josie- always wrighting poems and songs. She also made movies and they were mostly funny ones. She was also a good singer and never really finished her songs much. Her nicknames are Posie Juno, Jos, Stripe Man, and Munying. She had long, straight black hair and it had red tips. She was Philipino and kinda big. She wore glasses that made her look really smart and pretty, She was also the tallest girl in the group, and also had a boyfriend in California named T.J. They met over the internet.
Cheyanna- Short blonde curly hair, you could see the pink and blue strands that she used to have even though they were practically faded. She dyed streaks in her hair once every year. She was really goofie like Josie, she was sopposedly her partner in good. She was called Poka-dot Man. She also had a boyfriend, his name was Sai, she met him on the internet as well.
Danielle- Was really girly and always acting like the world was all about her. She loved to get attention as long as it was good. She had long, kinda straight kinda curly dirty blond hair and she was almost the shortest girl in the group. She also wears glasses that for some reason bring out the color in her eyes. She liked to be called the Queen of Bitches and a ton of other things as well. She had a boyfriend named Jonsey, they met at school and he was into Wicca and things like that. He was at least two heads taller than her as well.
Erin- She didn't go to school. She only came on the days she had R.O.T.C, or rather the periods. Wensdays and Tuesdays were the usual days that she was seen. She was always given a hug by Mara, they were like sisters, even though Mara sensed that she wasn't completly straight. Erin had short brown hair that was straight. She always wore sweat pants and usually something that showed she was a Christian. She was a little suicidle and so are most of her friends, whom she talks to over the inernet and on her cellphone using texting. Two of which, Luink and Hobo, will kill eachother if she does. She said once that she would do the same, but she hasn't done much that causes for her to go to a clinic.
Alexis- Really cool girl, she wears her blue shades and usually has her hair down. Which is long and light brown, it is kind of wavy, which is why it looks so cool, because sometimes you can see hints of red in her hair in the right sun position. She was also calling people fruit loop, weirdo, and idiot. Only because she didn't get the concept of their ideas though. She was also really violent, but she is getting better at being a people person slowly, very slowly.
Sally-She looks just like Sara almost because of their skin color is dark and they wear thier hair up in pony tails. Thier hair is black and from the looks of things long. The only way to know which is which is to look at what they are wearing and see if anyone is hanging off of them. Sally wears a black raincoat that has pink going from the top of the breast to the arch of the back. She also doesn't have a boyfriend, at least that anyone knows of.
Sara- Looks like Sally a little. The only difference between them is that Sara wears a grey wool coat and she has a boyfriend named Josh. She Sara and Sally are both into Anime, like the entire group, but Sara is the only one between the two that draws the anime perfectly, almsot...
Rebe- Has been friends with Mara for about six years. Rebe considers herself Bi, which she kind of is, just like Mara, except Mara actually will go out with a girl if she wasn't in a relationship. Rebe and Mara did decide once that they would date, but it never happened. Rebe goes to a charter school and Mara and her almost never see eachother, except when they make plans to. Rebe has short, straight redish brown hair. She is tall and really skinny.She also has a fascination with fires, like almost everyone who has gone or is going to that school. She has had two boyfriends who have both been jackasses, she is now flirting with someone new, Dillan.
Zach- Red head and freckles. His hair is usaually spiked, although that was the last time Mara saw him. He had some kind of lisp and is a little taller than Mara by an inch or two. He was really funny, when Mara saw him and went to school with him he always had a pair of crutches because of his accidents at home. If Rebe made him mad he would just toss them away and hit her, or hit her with the crutches, that is kinda why he was labled the angry little leprechaun. Even though he was canadian.
Nov- has really short brown hair. She was also a little fat, but that doesn't stop her from being the person that she is. She is always painting peoples faces and drawing her art. She copied out of anime books at first, but now she is better at her work.
Andrew- Really tall. He is about 6 foot 2 inches. He has short brown hair. He is also currently dating Mara, he is a head size taller than her. He isn't all that good looking but he makes up for that with his caring and kind heart. He is also really funny, and says that Mara is worth it when he gets into trouble and is forced into helping her clean her apartment. According to Mara, Andrew is great in bed, and on the couch, and in the closet, but in a non-sex way. He used to have a crush on Rebe, and Mara fears that someday Andrew would leave her in a second to be with Rebe.
Raul- Fat guy with short black hair. It is kinda curly. He is really annoying because he doesn't know what is funny. He thinks it is funny to go and touch someone that is in a bad mood and laugh at them. Really if he did that at school and wasn't fat, he would get beaten down. The only reason no one beats him up is because he says he likes the pain.
Wraith- Used to date Mara, he says he still loves her. But right now they are just friends, he is also her master over the internet. He is really into bondage. He is also kind of big but his tallness makes up for it. He wears glasses and has short black curly hair. He has some realy good artwork also. He also has these Roleplay characters named Killrow, Myztery, Myzery, Diablo, Fear, Fangster, Changerow, and Shockster.
Navi- A thirteen year old in Mara's Formal Geometry class. She is really funny, sometimes. She has long black hair that she keeps in a braid. There are about two small braids that a intersecting into the big braid, which Mara finds to be pretty cool.
Josh- Flirtatious. The only word that can describe him is that. He gets a girlfriend three seconds after one dumps him and flirts with every girl he can. Blond hair and slight buck teeth. He is about 5 feet 10 inches.
Ang- Chinese girl that looks beautiful when her hair is up. She has no interest in boys and is really strong. She draws anime and creatures like dragons, but she hates her drawings. She also hates it when anyone calls her cute.
Chris- Really strong guy. He once picked up Mara and Alexis at once. He has really light brown hair that is kind of poofy, like an afro. He is tan as well and has the facial features of a clown. He is a few inches taller than Mara. Mara and Cris once wanted to date, but never did because Chris wouldn't move fast enough and Josh asked her out first. The reason they wanted to date was because of a sleepover where Chris and her kissed and confessed that they liked eachother.
Thomas- an extremly perverted friend of Chris's. He has black hair that is short, but it goes down past his ears. He is a mexican and is always bringing up some s**t that has nothing to do with a conversation, just the people talking about something.
E.J. Ham- Hamhawk! He is in R.O.T.C with Mara and Josie. He has blonde hair that is kinda like straw, and he is about the same hieght or taller than Chris. He works at A&W where he says that every person he works with is a retard. This might be because one of the people he worked with poured a whole gallon of fat down the drain for no reason.
Brenda- Medium hieght of brown hairwith blonde streaks. She has just gotten her braces off and is a little shorter than Mara. They have been friends for as long as Mara and Rebe. They only see and talk to eachother when they see eachother passing through the halls.
All of her friends were strange in their own little way. Mostly because they all had dreams that intersected with eachother. But other than that they all appeared to be normal.
When Mara got to the coutyard of the school, where she always met her friends, she noticed that there was a huge monument there. Her friends were standing, looking at it like it was horrific. When Mara got close enough to see what it was, she smiled. She had seen this monument before. In her dreams, in a place where she had died to protect her friends, the place where she was, Sar the Princess of Death.
